Roles & Responsibilities

Our client, a leading global manufacturer and supplier of cable products for cable management requirements, is seeking their next Sales Engineer in Singapore.

Being a Sales Engineer, he/she would be responsible for driving sales, maintaining customer relationships, and promoting products or services to clients primarily through onsite meetings & demonstrations. This role blends technical expertise with sales skills to identify customer needs, demonstrate the functionality of products or services, and close sales opportunities. Sales Engineer works closely with the sales, engineering, and product teams to provide solutions that meet customer requirements, ensuring customer satisfaction and long-term business relationships.

Key Responsibilities

1. Customer Engagement:

· Identify and target potential customers in the assigned market.

· Build and maintain relationships with new and existing clients, understanding their business needs and technical requirements.

· Collaborate with sales and marketing teams to generate leads and convert them into sales opportunities.

2. Pre-Sales Support:

· Provide technical presentations and product demonstrations to potential clients.

· Create and deliver detailed proposals, including product specifications, pricing, and delivery timelines.

· Participate in customer meetings to offer technical insights and answer any questions regarding product capabilities.

3. Sales & Negotiation:

· Assist in developing pricing strategies and negotiate terms and conditions for product sales.

· Collaborate with the sales team to close deals and meet or exceed sales targets.

· Monitor customer satisfaction and work on follow-up to ensure successful product implementation.

4. Market Research & Reporting:

· Monitor industry trends, competitor activities, and customer feedback to stay informed about the latest market developments.

· Provide regular updates and reports on sales activities, pipeline progress, and forecast potential sales opportunities to the management team.

Experience and Background

An engineering/Diploma graduate with an experience in external sales, preferably with an experience in selling to Infrastructure Construction/Offshore & Marine/Semiconductor segments.

· Proven experience as a Sales Engineer or in a similar technical sales role (typically 3-5 years).

· Strong understanding of the products or services being sold, including technical specifications, applications, and benefits.

· Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.

· Strong negotiation skills and the ability to close deals effectively.

· Willingness to travel as required within the sales territory & outside for trainings/meetings.
