Culina is a leading purveyor of specialist Epicurean foods and wines, a choice dis-tributor to hotels, restaurants and cafes in Singapore. Culina runs a Bistro and Gour-met boutique, an Organic retail store SuperNature in Dempsey, as well as a chain of butcheries in Major Su-permarkets island-wide.

Job Summary:

We are seeking a dynamic culinary professionals responsible for preparing and cooking food to high standards, ensuring cleanliness, and maintaining food safety protocols. The role also responsible to maintain cleanliness and organization in all customer facing areas of the restaurant before and during service.

Key Responsibilities:

· Collaborate with senior chefs to prepare and cook dishes as per established recipes.

· Assist in the setup and organization of cooking stations before each shift.

· Execute cooking tasks with precision, following cooking procedures and presentation guidelines.

· Ensure cleanliness and adherence to food safety protocols in the kitchen.

· Assist in the receiving, storage, and proper handling of food items.

· Learn and improve cooking techniques through active training and feedback.

· Support other kitchen staff in maintaining a smooth workflow during service hours.

· Handle basic kitchen equipment and perform routine maintenance checks.

· Participate in periodic deep cleaning of the kitchen area.

· Assist in managing kitchen waste disposal according to environmental regulations.

· Contribute ideas for improving kitchen efficiency, food quality, and customer satisfaction.

· Other ad-hoc duties assigned

Requirements:

· Must have a minimum of 1 year in similar capacity and experience.

· A culinary school certification or a diploma is a plus. Practical experience and basic education will also be considered.

· Trained in preparing a reasonable range of foods, including appetisers, soup and main course etc.

· Hands-on experience in garnishing, arranging, and serving food

· Demonstrated ability to check freshness of food and ingredients prior to cooking

· Substantial knowledge of food safety and handling procedures

· Well-versed in cleaning work areas, equipment, utensils, dishes, and silverware

· Able to work in a team environment and take direction and instructions

· Good time management, no use of profanity language and violent behaviour.

· Good interpersonal skill with ability to interact with kitchen and restaurant staff.

· Good in customer service, focused and oriented.
