We are looking for a hands-on and experienced professional to oversee and manage cleaning operations in hotels, commercial buildings, malls, and industrial public areas. This role requires both leadership and active involvement in daily cleaning tasks, ensuring high hygiene standards, operational efficiency, and effective staff management, including scheduling, rostering, and inventory control.

Roles & Responsibilities

- Perform and oversee daily cleaning operations to ensure public areas, including lobbies, corridors, restrooms, and common spaces, are well-maintained and spotless.

- Actively participate in cleaning tasks such as mopping, vacuuming, dusting, and sanitizing surfaces when required.

- Supervise and work alongside cleaning staff to ensure all duties are performed efficiently and up to standard.

- Plan, manage, and implement staff rosters to ensure optimal manpower allocation across different shifts.

- Monitor and maintain cleaning supply inventory, ensuring timely replenishment of stock.

- Handle the washing, drying, and proper storage of crockery, glassware, and cutlery, ensuring they are free of stains and properly placed.

- Clear used plates, dishes, glasses, and cutlery from tables in dining or common areas and ensure cleanliness.

- Conduct routine inspections of public areas to assess cleanliness, scheduling deep cleaning when necessary.

- Train, guide, and coach cleaning staff to ensure service excellence and adherence to standard operating procedures.

- Address customer, tenant, or management queries, feedback, and complaints professionally and promptly.

- Enforce health and safety regulations related to cleaning operations and maintain compliance with industry standards.

- Perform any additional hands-on duties as required.

Requirements*

- Bachelor's degree or diploma in a relevant field.

- 2-3 years of hands-on experience in cleaning operations, preferably in hotels, commercial buildings, malls, or industrial public areas.

- Willingness to perform manual cleaning duties alongside the team.

- Experience in managing staff, including rostering, task delegation, and performance supervision.

- Proficiency in operating cleaning equipment and machinery.

- Ability to work a 6-day rotating shift, including morning, afternoon, and night shifts, as required, including Public Holidays.

- Strong verbal and written English communication skills.

- Excellent interpersonal, leadership, and problem-solving abilities.

- Maintains high standards of personal hygiene, is well-groomed, and professionally attired at all times.
