Role: Agile Release Train (ART) Solution Architect (Day Rate Contract for a multi year project)
Our Client is a leading Global MNC.
What they are looking for is someone with Architecture experience, who is able to see the big picture (able to help craft it) and who is able to guide teams towards this picture, through a level of hands-on interaction (i.e. they must be practitioners / doers, not just leaders / managers)
The ideal candidate has a Solution Architecture background, but has recent experience in roadmaps / strategy development, and is willing to move between the two in order to get the best outcome.
Purpose:
The ART Forward Architect defines and communicates a unified technical vision for solutions within an Agile Release Train (ART). Collaborating with teams, they elaborate on system architecture, validate technology assumptions, assess implementation options, and establish the Continuous Delivery Pipeline. This ensures that the developed system aligns effectively with its intended purpose.
Responsibilities:
Agile Release Train Leadership:
Collaborate with Product Management and the Release Train Engineer to lead the design and implementation of Agile Release Trains, offering guidance on structure, processes, and ceremonies.
Define strategic architectural runway in collaboration with key stakeholders, ensuring alignment of ART strategy and roadmap with organizational objectives.
Architectural Design:
Design and maintain the overall architecture of the Agile Release Train in coordination with respective development teams, considering scalability, flexibility, and integration points.
Provide technical leadership and expertise to ensure the architecture supports Agile principles and practices.
Cross-functional Collaboration:
Foster collaboration among development teams, product owners, and stakeholders to facilitate smooth and efficient delivery of business value.
Partner closely with cross-functional teams within ART and beyond to establish a simplified yet connected system landscape supporting [Firm's] growth ambitions.
Continuous Improvement:
Implement and champion continuous improvement initiatives within the Agile Release Train, identifying areas for optimization and efficiency.
Drive the adoption of Agile best practices, ensuring teams are constantly learning and evolving.
Risk Management:
Identify and mitigate risks related to the Agile Release Train, offering proactive solutions to potential challenges.
Work closely with teams to address impediments and facilitate timely issue resolution.
Technical Leadership:
Provide technical guidance and mentorship to development teams, ensuring adherence to architectural standards and best practices.
Stay updated on industry trends, emerging technologies, and Agile methodologies to inform and enhance organizational practices.
Provide guidance to development teams on designing systems' integration and cross-sharing of data within and outside China borders.
Knowledge and Experience:
Proven experience as a Solution Architect embracing Agile methodologies.
In-depth knowledge of Agile frameworks (SAFe, Scrum, Kanban) and practical experience implementing them in large-scale organizations.
Strong understanding of software architecture, development methodologies, and DevOps practices.
Knowledge of SAP Deal to Settlement process.
Experience in Salesforce-centric architectural design with Salesforce Lightnings and other Salesforce products.
Experience with one or more integration tools, capable of designing integration scenarios or patterns.
Familiarity with Document Management Solutions, Data Architecture Solutions, AI/ML.
Human-centered design or design thinking experience is a plus.
Experience working with teams of Architects, especially Salesforce Solution/Technical Architects, Data and Integration Architects, as well as Enterprise Architects.
