Job Responsibilities
- To lead a team of purchasing associates
- To ensure that store has sufficient inventory to cover for sales requirements
- To ensure all purchase orders are raised in accordance to MRP
- To ensure all purchase orders are issued to vendors on time
- To ensure accuracy and completeness in ERP system and purchasing documentations
- To ensure on-time delivery from vendors while maintaining inventory level within the desired target
- To review with vendors on quality issues and ensure corrective and preventive actions are taken by vendors
- Constant and close follow up on parts required by sales and production team
- To review all "slow-moving or no-move items" in the inventory and work with vendors on how to clear these potentially obsolete items
- To establish a good working relationship with vendors to ensure their strong support required to meeting the Company's demand changes
- Generate required reports for Management review
Job Requirements
- Degree in any Business or Engineering field with at least 7 years of experience in procurement in an electronics manufacturing industry
- Possess knowledge of procurement in electronics manufacturing industry
- Possess forward planning and organising skills
- Able to multi-task and stay committed to the job
- Knowledge on Microsoft
- Knowledge on ERP systems
- Good at problem solving and communicating
- Possess good leadership skills and a team player
