The Event Operations Manager bears the overall responsibility for the operation of an event facility, ensuring every segment runs smoothly and profitability of the events. He/she performs outlet-level support functions, such as guest service, scheduling, handling day-to-day operations, finances, closing of systems, ordering inventory and back office support. He/she are instrumental in creating memorable experiences by upholding standards and fulfilling each client’s unique needs.


Each event brings its own experiences, your standard responsibilities will be the following:

Key Tasks

  1. Interpret event orders and align requirements with Event Sales & Culinary Team. Plan budgets and analyze inventory for catering needs. Ensure adequate staff and monitor quality and quantity of served items
  2. Develop sales strategies tailored to client profiles, discussing revenue-enhancing packages with Event Sales
  3. Analyze guest preferences for targeted recommendations and identify innovation opportunities. Recommend initiatives to bridge service performance gaps and optimize workplace processes
  4. Greet and assist clients upon arrival, ensuring satisfaction with set-up and last-minute arrangements. Walk the floor to inspect adherence to service standards, enhancing overall guest experience
  5. Holds regular meetings with team to discuss various aspects of service steps, quality and clients/guests' input
  6. Conduct daily reconciliation of sales
  7. Review and improve work processes to optimize service efficiency and maintain quality standards


Functional / Technical Experience

  • Previous experiences in events/ banquet or table service restaurants
  • Food Safety and Hygiene and Food Allergens
  • Guest Service Experience
  • Workplace Safety and Health for Food and Beverage Operations
  • Integrity and the ability to establish strong work relationships
  • Good analytical skills, cost consciousness and strong financial management
  • Multitask, handle changing priorities and work as part of a team
  • Leadership abilities, able to motivate, develop and bring out the best in co-workers
  • Multicultural awareness and able to work and thrive within a culturally diverse environment


Qualifications

- WSQ Food Safety and Hygiene-1

- WSQ Workplace Safety and Health Control Measures-2 is recommended

- Minimum 4 Years Experience with proven track record of delivering business performance

- Diploma/ Specialist Diploma in Hospitality/ Business or Operations Management

- Proficient with basic design apps, Google Workspace apps/tools and the Mac
