About Us:


Durapower Technology (Singapore) Pte Ltd is a wholly owned subsidiary of Durapower Holdings Pte Ltd. Durapower develops and manufactures advanced lithium-ion battery cells and systems for such applications as Commercial Electric Vehicles, specialty vehicles, marine applications, and stationary energy storage.


As part of the Company’s growth plan, we are seeking an experienced and initiative-taking Application Sales Engineer to be a part of our Business Development team, to support our global projects in pre-sales, technical proposals, and system integration activities. The candidate should have knowledge and relevant experience in electric powertrains and functionality of battery systems in vehicle applications. This includes knowledge on lithium batteries, Battery Management Systems, cooling systems, Motors/turbines, VCUs and other auxillaries components in Electrical vehicles and electrical vessels.


Application Sales Engineer


Department: APAC Business Development


Roles & Responsibilities:


· Provide techno-commercial support to business development and sales managers for pre-sales activities.

· Secure and confirm customer requirements and operational profiles to communicate effectively with plant engineers and ensure successful system integration other vehicle components.

· Secure and confirm customer testing and certification requirements for their applications.

· Offer technical assistance to clients on existing and new projects and products. Ensure customer satisfaction.

· Communicate design change requests, design issues and potential optimization of battery systems to appropriate product development and management teams.

· Liaise with customers, PMO team and China manufacturing plant to support ongoing projects.

· Train customers and colleagues on Durapower products and applications where applicable.

· Maintain proper organization and documentation for different projects and ensure proper record keeping.


Requirements:


· Diploma/Degree in Electrical, Mechatronics, or Mechanical Engineering.

· 5-10 years hands-on experience in application engineering, presales and technical support or system integration activities, preferably in the space of mobility or electrification.

· Knowledge of Singapore and regional electrical standards, global vehicle standards and basic safety requirements.

· Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

· Bilingual in English and Mandarin, as the role requires close collaboration with our engineering team in China.

· Can-do attitude, out of the box thinking and high EQ to manage customer relationships.

· Willing to travel up to 30%.
