Role Description：

This is an internship role at Crafty Crafty. As a Business Development Intern, you will be responsible for day-to-day tasks such as lead generation, market research, and customer service. This is an on-site role located in Singapore.

Location

The Hangar, National University of Singapore

Working Hours:

Part-time: 30-35 hours/week

 

Key Responsibilities:

1. Liaison and Relationship Building:

  • Establish and maintain relationships with craftsmen and other key stakeholders.
  • Identify and pursue collaboration opportunities with craftsmen, including scheduling meetings and negotiating collaboration terms and conditions.

2. Sales Channel Expansion:

  • Explore and secure collaboration opportunities to expand Crafty Crafty’s online and offline sales channels.
  • Assist in promoting Crafty Crafty at physical sales or showcase events.

3. Client and Workshop Coordination:

  • Assist in organizing workshops, including booking venues, preparing materials, recruiting participants, discussing details with clients, craftsmen, venue providers, etc.

4. Event Support:

  • Attend and support physical sales or showcase events for Crafty Crafty.
  • Ensure all event logistics are handled efficiently and professionally.

5. Market Research:

  • Conduct market research to stay informed on industry trends, the competitive landscape and craftsmen for collaboration.
  • Provide insights and recommendations based on research findings to help inform strategic decisions.

6. Idea Generation:

  • Generate creative ideas for Crafty’s sales expansion and event participation.

Qualifications

  • Analytical Skills, Market Research, and Lead Generation
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Business Development Skill
  • Passion for traditional crafts and Southeast Asian culture
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Detail-oriented and organized
  • Fluency in English (additional languages are a plus)
  • Diplomat (Polytechnique) or Bachelor's Degree in Business, Marketing, or related field (in progress or completed)
