[What the role is]
Using knowledge as a key organisational asset, this role will require the individual to take a holistic approach to formulate, create, and maintain the optimal work environment for employees to stay productive in their work and contribute towards the building of Body of Knowledge in NCSS. This is achieved by creating a central repository, process and system for knowledge management and ensuring this is well-maintained and utilised. Overall, the efforts will support the preservation of information and knowledge to augment the organisation in the day-to-day running, formulating of strategic decisions, and supporting efforts for research purposes.

[What you will be working on]

We are looking for a detail-oriented, creative, passionate individual and a team member to drive and be responsible for planning, managing, engaging of different stakeholders and driving of changes across the organisation. You will play a critical role in ensuring change management in knowledge management and management of the oral history project in NCSS.

 

Knowledge Management

·          Co-ordinate and facilitate efforts to educate staff on central repository.

·          Plan and execute knowledge management initiatives, proper record management and affiliated system(s).

·          Support the day-to-day knowledge management related matters.

·          Engage and influence staff on proper records management practices and the use of records management related systems for better collaboration and building of institutional knowledge.

·          Drive the adoption, readiness and maturity in organisation’s knowledge management.

·          Create, manage and streamline knowledge management SOPs.

·          Procure for necessary services and equipment, including contract and vendor management.

·          Plan and conduct Registry audit to ensure proper documentation and compliance with Instruction Manuals.

·          Complete digitisation and proper storage of NCSS records with minimal/no hardcopies.

 

Oral History (OH)

·          Serve as Project Manager of Oral History (OH) as part of Knowledge Workplace.

·          Assist and work with external consultant for key decisions and directives.

·          Scope including (but not limited to) research to establish the scope and candidates with all internally and externally available materials and resources to establish the value, feasibility, and viability for OH.

·          Select and prepare interview outlines and questions for target interviewee groups and individuals.

·          Select, train and coordinate with interviewers and volunteers.

·          Plan, curate and shortlist both interviewers and volunteers.

·          Organise work to transcribe and summarise recorded interviews.

·          Plan and design logistics functions needed towards the final presentation of the project deliverables. Perform any other work tasks assigned by Supervisors.
