Key Responsibilities:

Program Development: Create and execute outreach and educational programs tailored to various audiences, including students, young adults, and community groups.

Community Engagement: Develop creative and interactive resources to enhance awareness of IHC and Indian culture. Engage with public and private sector organizations to expand our outreach, including strategic partnerships with schools and community groups.

Volunteer Management: Collaborate with docents and volunteers to build, train, and maintain a dedicated team, ensuring effective support for our outreach and educational activities.

Accessibility Initiatives: Design and manage initiatives to increase accessibility for different audience groups, including seniors and those with special needs.

Project Management: Oversee the planning and execution of various projects, including preparing proposals, managing budgets, and ensuring projects stay on track. Supervise educational programs both on-site and off-site.

Vendor and Partner Coordination: Liaise with vendors, suppliers, and partners to support educational and outreach efforts.

Team Leadership: Supervise interns, junior staff, and outsourced personnel involved in outreach and education. Assist with additional tasks as required by the General Manager.
[What we are looking for]

Background: In History, Arts & Social Sciences, Education or other relevant disciplines with at least 3 to 5 years of relevant working experience in heritage-related projects or education/outreach programmes.

Passion: Strong interest in local and Indian history, culture, and heritage.

Skills: Strong research, negotiation, marketing, communication, networking, and project management skills. Experience with digital communications and projects as well as Tamil proficiency is a plus.

Attributes: Creative, innovative, and resourceful with excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Flexible and adaptable to changing project needs.

Availability: Willingness to work outside regular office hours, including evenings, weekends, and public holidays.
