Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Ensuring that all assigned tasks meet specified standards, covering equipment maintenance, stock management, cleanliness, food quality, and setup for daily operations and events.
  • Demonstrating innovative cooking techniques and introducing new equipment to kitchen staff
  • Assist in planning of menus and recipes with the Head Chef
  • Attend weekly service meetings to improve and enhance service level
  • Ensure equipment are all well maintained, and perform routine checks on equipment
  • Responsible to ensure that all menu items are available in service areas throughout servicetimes
  • Training and mentoring junior chefs
  • Perform any duties as directed by Head Chef/Manager

Key requirements:

Minimum 3 years experience in similar capacity with or without qualification.Communication Skills (verbal and written) – ability to convey meaning and obtain understandingOrganizational Skills – ability to group work and resources in relation to the work being done,prioritizing and scheduling an even workflowPeople Skills – ability to effectively relate to customers and others in all organizational levels,being sensitive to their needsExperience with Japanese/Japanese fusion food will be a bonus
