ServiceNow is on the lookout for a Solution Consulting Manager to lead a top-notch team of pre-sales Solution Consultants and Architects in our IT workflow specialist team, focusing on Strategic Portfolio Management, IT Asset Management, Security Operations, and Governance Risk & Compliance products. This is an opportunity to steer the growth of your team in a fast-paced setting. The Solution Consulting Manager will oversee individual career planning and development, team growth and recruitment as per the evolving needs of the sales department, and other administrative tasks related to team management.
Role
The Solution Consulting Manager will be responsible for maintaining strong relationships with counterparts in Sales, Services, Support, Marketing, and other teams to ensure coherence in organizational activities and strategies. These duties directly contribute to the primary objective of the Solution Consulting Manager: nurturing and retaining a team that consistently achieves the technical win in every deal they support for the sales teams.
Reporting to the APAC Technology Workflows Solution Consulting Senior Director, this role carries significant responsibility.
What you will be doing in this role:
- Grasp the requirements of the Asia, India & Korea sales department and devise strategies to provide outstanding assistance, focusing on strategic sales prospects
- Represent the Technology Workflows sector at company and industry functions through collaboration with our marketing and communication teams
- Design solutions that highlight the wider value of IT Workflows, particularly when working with strategic collaborators
- Train team members based on business needs and their individual career objectives
- Establish and sustain a pool of potential Solution Consulting candidates to meet future business needs
- Collaborate with our sales directors to prioritize regional Solution Consulting activities
- Allocate resources to sales opportunities and consistently assess progress against targets
- Assign resources to support demand generation efforts in marketing and other areas as needed
- Develop and implement training programs for the team to address evolving requirements of the sales department
- Regularly assess team members through direct observation, peer input, and feedback from sales teams
- Ensure efficient resource alignment and utilization of skills within the specified region
- Oversee day-to-day tasks such as resolving resource scheduling conflicts, reviewing and approving expenses, reporting on activities, etc.
To excel in this role, you should have:
- 3 – 5 years of experience in leading and managing a pre-sales team is essential
- Ability to present to C-level executives. Skill in conveying the business value proposition of the ServiceNow Platform to senior leaders
- Demonstrated capability in leading projects to fruition. Ability to implement business endeavors aligned with the global Technology Workflows sector
- Pre-sales background, involvement in creating and contributing to sales campaigns centered on general IT Management tasks
- Work experience in either IT Operations or Security Operations domains
- Familiarity with the ServiceNow product suite or comparable products is highly advantageous
- Effective communication of concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences in a clear and logical manner
