MAIN PURPOSE


This role will support the HR Manager, People Operations in co-leading the operations team in delivering efficient, trusted transactional activities and services, this position plays an important role in providing the platform that enables the HR team to deliver the department's directorate vision in enabling the business.


In addition, this role at a regional level, will act as a pillar to the People Operations Team in providing best practices and insights sharing across the South Asia & Oceania region, creating a collaborative and cohesive channel for the markets.


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

On/Off Boarding Process and Employee Life-Cycle

  • Drives excellent execution of HR operational processes to provide exceptional employee experience from hiring to exit
  • Leads the team to provide timely and efficient administration support for new joiners and offboarding procedures for leavers
  • Oversees employee records maintenance on a timely and accurate basis
  • Be the support for HR Manager in managing expatriates relocation and settling in services

Payroll and Governance

  • Lead the team to deliver operational excellence in payroll services
  • Check and verify accuracy of payroll and commission payments
  • Provide variance reports on a monthly basis
  • Manage the Annual Salary Review and Bonus payout exercise
  • Manage timely tax reporting and employees' queries
  • Work closely with Internal Compliance Team on annual control review and payroll walk through
  • Work closely with Internal Audit Team on regular internal audits
  • Support external audit as required
  • Ensure current process fulfils compliance requirements, educate and take immediate actions to rectify and follow up on any noncompliance cases
  • Reviews Employee Handbook and all letter templates periodically to ensure legal compliance and alignment with business policy

Employee Engagement

  • Manage escalations and provide support on employee relation cases
  • Coordinate and plan employee engagement activities for employees

Dimension

  • Geographical coverage includes South Asia & Oceania, with main focus in Singapore scope of work
  • Secondary focus on Malaysia, Thailand, Vietnam & Australia for payroll support and alignment of HR initiatives & polices etc.

Requirements:

  • A degree in Business, HR or equivalent with min 56 years of handson experience in HR.
  • Profound knowledge in full spectrum of HR operations, payroll, employee engagement, compensation & benefits, systems, with a creative and proactive mindset to improve processes & procedures.
  • Strong knowledge in local regulations such as Singapore employment, CPF and Income Taxrelated laws and guidelines with competent experience and understanding of other HR functional areas.
  • Ability to build and manage authentic and effective relationships within and outside the business and HR organization
  • Experience in system implementation/enhancement and process improvement in SAP SuccessFactors and Timesoft will be an advantage.
