Team Introduction

ByteDance Procurement aims to provide high-quality purchasing solutions for ByteDance and establish a global platform for purchasing resources.

Through providing professional management of procurement resources, selecting high-quality suppliers, and managing supplier performance, we aim to improve the efficiency, cost-effectiveness and compliance of ByteDance procurement behavior, fostering a healthy long-term business environment.


In this role:


This intensive and critical role is responsible for the management, growth, development, maturation, and optimization of the Procurement APAC team.

This role requires deep dive procurement experience, high level problem-solving capability, working across cultures and time zones, and strong entrepreneurial spirit.


Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for leading the procurement APAC team and developing the team's functional excellence.
  • Establish an insightful team objective to manage resources and focus on critical areas of maximizing procurement value for business & internal clients.
  • Partner with key stakeholders, identify their key business priorities and provide the best procurement solutions to fulfill business needs.
  • Lead the team to develop a compelling preferred vendor base through aligning sourcing strategy, vendor vetting and qualification, RFX, contract, SPM and SRM.
  • Work with a procurement strategy team to roll out the most suitable market specific procurement policies, procedures and systems.
  • Utilize knowledge, capabilities, and resources to assist businesses and stakeholders in regulating market dynamics and overcoming unprecedented challenges.

  • Experience leading a team
  • Experience handling APAC Procurement
  • Strong communication skills, strong organization, and change management experience
  • Demonstrated ability to thrive in a constantly changing environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and in teams and liaise with other functions and senior leadership.
