Job Description

As a Software Engineer specializing in Private Equity & Real Estate Technology, you will be part of a dynamic team of full-stack engineers focused on designing, building, deploying, testing, and supporting applications and services hosted on AWS. Collaborating closely with business stakeholders, your role involves driving business value by delivering high-quality code and addressing various challenges from scaling infrastructure to enhancing business efficiency through process automation. Our internal applications are built on a highly scalable microservices architecture deployed on a cloud-hosted containerized environment. Key technologies in our stack include NextJS/React, FastAPI, Python, C#, Terraform, SQL, AWS ECS, AWS Lambda, and more.

Responsibilities:

  • Developing and maintaining software solutions using languages such as Python, C#, TypeScript/JavaScript, and SQL to ensure code quality, scalability, reliability, and security.
  • Creating, deploying, and maintaining APIs and microservices to integrate with front-end and third-party applications.
  • Writing automated unit, integration, and deployment tests to uphold software quality.
  • Building cloud-native solutions utilizing AWS, Terraform, and Docker with a focus on scalability and robustness.
  • Implementing standard CI/CD tooling like GitLab and Jenkins to automate application code deployment across different environments.
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams using Agile methodologies to design and implement new features and applications, leveraging tools such as JIRA.
  • Mentoring junior developers, fostering a positive team culture, and actively participating in knowledge sharing with senior engineers.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or a related field.
  • Experience with databases (relational and/or NoSQL) and cloud technologies, preferably AWS, is highly desirable.
  • Familiarity with infrastructure as code tools like Terraform and containerization technologies such as Docker.
  • Proficiency in RESTful API design, development, and building scalable microservice architectures.
  • Ability to create scalable, secure, and maintainable code with a strong background in object-oriented programming.
  • Demonstrated problem-solving skills, eagerness to learn, and a keen eye for detail.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills coupled with the ability to collaborate effectively in a team environment.
  • Self-motivated with an entrepreneurial mindset; willing to mentor, learn from others, and explore new technologies.
