The Role


The Asia/APAC, Workplace & Facilities Director is responsible for all aspects of facilities strategy and operation as well as workplace services for Veeva's 15 offices in Asia/APAC.


With a plan for significant growth by 2025, Veeva's global footprint is expanding quickly, and we are looking for a leader to plan for that growth in the region.

This individual manages leased properties across multiple cities and maintains proactive and clear communications with internal stakeholders, real estate & facilities consultants, and building owners.

This position will require travel to regional offices approximately 25% of the time.

What You'll Do

  • Coach and direct Office Managers in Asia/APAC. Lead and support managers as they coordinate personnel moves, small projects, and coordinate with vendors and suppliers
  • Build positive and productive relationships with Site Leaders and Senior Leaders in each office, counseling them on best workplace practices
  • Hire and develop the Asia/APAC team as Veeva continues to build and open offices
  • Ensure that Veeva's offices support our Work Anywhere strategy, helping to evolve our spaces and practices
  • Establish standard metrics and reporting for office usage across all sites in Asia
  • Work with regional leadership to set norms for the use of shared spaces, onsite and offsite gatherings, food programs, and other workplace strategies
  • Set budget targets and oversee spending for Asia/APAC
  • Manage Employee Health & Safety initiatives and plans within our regional offices
  • Work with Site Leaders and the VP of Global Workplace to plan for new and expanded sites within Asia/APAC, including developing requirements, site selection, leasing, fitout, and renovation
  • Build and maintain relationships with real estate service providers and partners
  • Understand regional growth plans and work with site leaders to ensure that spaces grow with Veeva teams
  • Ensure leaders are aware of and planning for lease renewal
  • Work with Office Managers to ensure site maps and occupancy data are accurate and up to date
  • Work with regional leaders to identify the need for coworking space and to contract with appropriate coworking spaces
  • Oversee and direct construction projects from conception to completion, larger projects may include an external Project Manager
  • Monitor costs to budget and review and process invoices
  • Lead meetings virtually and onsite with architects and construction crew
  • Work with Office Managers to communicate plans to occupants

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field
  • 3+ years experience in a facilities management position
  • Extensive and varied construction, facilities management, workplace planning, or related project experience
  • Positive and inspiring peopleleader with strong collaboration skills and demonstrated experience with multicountry region leadership in Asia
  • Thoughtful about how the work environment helps employees do their best work
  • Able to adapt to changing business needs and workplace demands
  • Skilled at negotiating, optimizing costs, and finding creative solutions
  • Fluency in English
  • Travel within Asia/APAC (up to 25%) is required for this position
