What the role is

  • The National Council of Social Service is the coordinating body for more than 400 social service organisations in Singapore. The Council provides leadership and direction in social services, enhances the capabilities of social service organisations, and promotes strategic partnerships across the people, public and private sectors.

The Workplace Development team, alongside other critical functions within CDCG, plays a vital role in addressing how NCSS as an organisation functions, transforms and responds to external trends.

Workplace Innovation is a unit within Workplace Development that aims to transform how NCSS Thinks and Works - towards being people-centered, data-driven and innovative.

The role will also involve aligning work around data governance and strategy internally and with MSF, our parent ministry.

We are looking for a detail-oriented, passionate individual and a team member to be part of the team that puts in place building blocks to allow for

NCSS to derive data-informed insights, as well as adopt innovative ways of working through people-centered and agile approaches

  • NCSS data plan and data governance
  • Support in implementation of data sandbox projects, set up of data infrastructure
  • Support in upkeep and adherence of NCSS Data Management Policy and related initiative to ensure compliance to IM8
  • People-centered and innovative solutions
  • Support in facilitation of opportunities for process improvement, automation and other innovative solutioning
  • Capability and culture building
  • Support in implementation of training roadmap, curation of resources and mechanisms for engagement of the community
Any other matters as may be assigned by your supervisor.

Skills & Knowledge:

  • Understanding and appreciation for the possibilities of data analytics and innovation
  • Competent in Excel for data management
  • Familiar with graphic creation tools for engagement and communication (ie., Canva) would be a plus

Experience:


At least 2 years of relevant experience, involvement in projects relating to transformation, innovation, change management, and development of supporting structures to translate vision to reality preferred.

Fresh graduates with interest and aptitude in the areas listed may be considered.

Familiarity with nature of NCSS work would be an advantage.
