Job summary


Value Management Unit (VMU) is a dynamic and innovative unit, closely involved in driving transformational that is patient-centric and data-driven through the development and scaling of value-based healthcare initiatives.

VMU is looking for a Manager/Assistant Director to support the HOD and Senior Leaders of TTSH to drive value creation and optimization, in alignment with the hospital's and department's goal of building sustainable healthcare that matters to our population.

The Manager is expected to exercise peer and direct leadership to develop the teams he/she works with.

Main roles and responsibilities

Portfolio specific

  • Manage and facilitate valuebased projects jointly with both internal & external stakeholders (e.g. Ministry of Health, NHG HQ and/or other hospitals).
  • Develop the Value construct and translate concepts into implementable initiatives and enablers to support the strategic direction of TTSH.
  • Work closely with Finance, Central Health Office, and NHG Group Integrated Care to support a smooth and successful rollout of the capitation funding model for public hospitals in relation to TTSH's cost structure.
  • Further develop an uptodate cost catalogue and costing methodology as an enabler of valuebased costing.
  • Devise and implement initiatives that promote cost awareness in the healthcare teams in TTSH.
  • Develop and implement a framework and governance around incentive payments in TTSH
  • Engage with external partners (e.g. community partners) and international bodies (e.g. ICHOM and World Economic Forum) to establish benchmarks and best practices.
  • Be constantly kept uptodate on new developments internationally with regard to Value Driven Care; its methodology and implementation, so that best practices from around the world can be incorporated to TTSH's work.
  • Provide consultancy service to internal teams on the value journey of care transformation.

General

  • Strategically plan and prepare updates to senior management at various committees and workgroups.
  • Devise and support the topline analysis and interpretation of data.
  • Provide secretariat support and/or participate as an active member in the committees and workgroups supported by the unit.
  • Be a change agent and inculcate mindset change for hospitalwide and departmental level initiatives.
  • Provide active support for staff development and empower staff in improvement work.
  • Be a people leader in the team by initiating and assisting in continuous improvement projects and collaboration initiatives.
  • Undertake other relevant tasks as assigned by the supervisor.

Job Requirements

  • A good degree in any discipline
  • Good interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills
  • Analytical with a penchant for pragmatic problemsolving
  • Good presentation skills are a must
  • Strong in selfdirected work
  • Ability to exercise lateral thinking and have an innovation mindset
  • Minimum of 5 years of relevant / related working experience
