Product Specialist, Real Estate Advisory & Investment (AVP/ VP).

The Alternative Investments and Managed Solutions business of BOS is responsible for the sourcing, selection, advisory, marketing and post-sales lifecycle management of both public and private market funds and investment solutions as well as discretionary and advisory portfolio management.


The Real Estate Advisory & Investments ("
RE") team is responsible for the identification (origination), selection, onboarding & due diligence, investment advisory and distribution and post-sales monitoring of third party, professionally managed, private market fund investment opportunities with real estate as the underlying asset class.

In terms of investment advisory and marketing, the team markets to RMs, ICs and clients regarding such private real estate investments.


Main Responsibilities
The new hire will assist the RE team in the build-out of private RE products including, but not limited to:

  • Originating & sourcing opportunities and maintaining a pipeline of RE products to bring to the AIMS management team for discussion and consideration for potential on-boarding to BOS;
  • Performing and leading Private RE products onboarding workstreams, including but not limited to, financial, commercial, operational, tax and legal due diligence and the completion of relevant internal checklists and processes for onboarding, all in compliance with internal BOS policies and procedures;
  • Reviewing and negotiating agreements, offering memoranda and documentation relating to the onboarding and distribution of Private RE products by BOS;
  • Managing and liaising with legal, compliance, tax advisors and other service providers for the negotiation and drafting of legal documentation relating to Private RE Products;
  • Preparing the internal BOS operations process and support for subscriptions, closings, capital calls, distributions, other related corporate actions and reporting processes for Private RE products, as necessary;
  • Preparing materials, completing relevant checklists and managing the internal approval process for the onboarding and distribution of Private RE products by BOS (including for presentation to Investment Committees), in addition to obtaining external approvals from any relevant regulatory or other relevant bodies;
  • Preparing for and managing BOS bankwide marketing, distribution and advisory of Private RE Products to BOS front office staff and making presentations to clients (including, but not limited to, launch materials, education materials, hosting training events, coordinating presentations by Private RE managers to front office staff or clients);
  • Providing advisory services relating to Private RE products, including to assist building resilient and diversified portfolios for BOS clients in the context of changing macroeconomic environment, as a basis for dynamically highlighting the most suitable Private RE products for client portfolios;
  • Leading the education and training of internal parties, relationship managers and clients across Private RE products and strategies, portfolio construction and allocation to Private RE products and build fluent knowledge of such products on the BOS platform;
  • Post onboarding and distribution, the monitoring and reporting of a Private RE product investment performance, any market related activity impacting a Private RE product and continued eligibility to remain on the BOS platform and formulating and actioning any required follow up with BOS stakeholders including but not limited to Investment Advisors, Relationship Managers or other internal colleagues;
  • Assisting with the monitoring and reporting of sales and revenue of Private RE products;
  • Preparing investment memos and client presentation materials related to Private RE product, manager recommendations, portfolio updates and other thematic discussion topics from time to time.
