Job Summary:

Responsible for overseeing ground-mounted and floating solar farms, along with operational and maintenance activities for distributed generation assets. This role involves spearheading initiatives to enhance performance, establish standardized best practices in O&M operations, and ensure adherence to the highest quality and safety standards.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage the operation of ground-mounted and floating solar farms, and other Distributed Generation Plants, evaluating their status and evolution to identify areas for improvement.
  • Monitor plant operations to validate adherence to expected conditions.
  • Contribute data for O&M budget planning aimed at optimizing asset profitability.
  • Prepare technical reports on plants' key performance indicators (KPIs).
  • Oversee the establishment of O&M Procedures and Maintenance standard plans, ensuring efficient implementation on-site in compliance with EDPR standards.
  • Coordinate with various stakeholders including HSE officers, subcontractors, suppliers, and logistics partners to ensure timely task completion.
  • Manage O&M inventory to uphold the availability of essential equipment and materials.
  • Supervise equipment warranties and contractual obligations for adherence.
  • Execute maintenance policies to meet asset objectives and optimize cost-benefit ratios.
  • Perform quality assurance checks on projects to ensure alignment with standards.
  • Support testing and commissioning activities for new projects.
  • Engage consistently with local authorities and Energy operators.

Requirements (qualification & knowledge):

  • Minimum of 3 years' experience in the solar PV industry.
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering.
  • Possession of a valid Driving Licence.
  • Ability to work both outdoors and in an office environment.

Technical Skills:

  • Expertise in solar PV technology, cost-benefit analysis, maintenance techniques, flow analysis, energy market regulations, and operational parameter monitoring.
  • Relevant experience in operations and maintenance within the region, preferably with established large-scale energy companies or renewables contractors.
  • Familiarity with battery storage systems is advantageous.
  • Certification for working at heights and other relevant safety protocols.
