The Role:
What You'll Be Doing:
- Prepare zoning plans for internal discussions with key stakeholders
- Create design proposals for all TR counters, which include detailed floorplans, elevations, and 3D visualizations
- Establish standard design details and offer support on material specifications as per Global A&M directives to shop fitters
- Review and approve technical drawings from shop fitters
- Coordinate with VM team to procure necessary display items for store opening
- Ensure each installation complies with retailer/mall design and construction regulations
- Develop snag lists for each installation to guarantee design compliance and address sub-standard construction
- Maintain existing project trackers to ensure transparent communication of project milestones to stakeholders
New Design Development:
- Work with TRVM to develop locally driven design initiatives based on TR APAC-specific business requirements
- Explore the use of new materials, technologies, and finishes
- Prepare design proposals for internal TR team and Global/Regional team discussions
- Innovate on design processes and presentations to expedite stakeholder alignments with precision
Special Trade Projects:
- Conceptualize and/or oversee external agency on the design of large-scale trade projects
- Collaborate closely with Marketing and Commercial team to ensure all business needs are fulfilled
- Review and approve technical drawings from designated shopfitters
- Follow up with shopfitters on project development and construction, maintaining focus on design, timing, and quality
Additional responsibilities may be assigned to the Senior Executive - Store Design, Travel Retail APAC based on potential growth opportunities and workload capacity.
You Bring:
- Minimum Diploma/Degree in Design, Architecture, Visual Merchandising, Industrial Design, or related field
- 3+ years of store design experience, preferably in the Travel Retail sector
- Proficiency in SketchUp, LayOut, and the Adobe CS Suite is essential
- Knowledge of Vectorworks and CAD software is advantageous
- Ability to sketch for effective design communication is a must
- Fluency in English, Mandarin proficiency is a bonus
- Exhibit high levels of responsibility, integrity, and attention to detail
- Entrepreneurial mindset, inclined to challenge norms, curious, and pursuit of excellence
- Effective time management, adept at prioritizing tasks, capable of balancing immediate needs with ongoing commitments
