The individual is responsible for supervising and driving a passionate sales team on the assigned territory covering the joints reconstruction portfolio (knees and hips).

The role provides strong leadership, mentorship, and customer product expertise to the sales and technical specialist team.

As a people manager, the individual is expected to meet or exceed established team sales goals through the implementation of sales activities.

In addition, the role will also be heavily involved in strategic business planning, launching new products and devising solutions to meet healthcare needs of the patients.

At this level, the role has increased responsibility including, but not limited to, additional skills, multiple lines/products, diverse teams, etc.

This job is eligible for sales incentives/sales commission.

Reporting line
This position reports to Franchise Manager (Joints, Mitek and Extremities)

People management responsibilities

  • Lead, coach, empower and develop team of sales representatives in the assigned accounts to achieve business goals.
  • Handle training of team of sales representatives and technical specialists.
  • Conduct performance evaluations.
  • Mentor younger team members to drive career progression.

Job responsibilities

  • Interviews, hires, trains and evaluates the performance of sales representatives.
  • Establishes team sales goals, and provides effective coaching of sales representatives to consistently improve their plans and performance.
  • Responsible for sales representatives' promotions, incentives and provides motivation as needed.
  • Provides account support and administration to increase company products' presence with assigned accounts.
  • Analyze sales data to find opportunities for increased efficiency and sales on a group level to optimize salesforce excellence.
  • Assists sales team with questions and supports customers requiring additional support.
  • Collects, utilizes and disseminates all vital marketing information to support portfolio growth.
  • Leads and drives specific sales events or projects in close partnership with marketing to improve sales performance.
  • Develops and executes stakeholders engagement and tactical plans to ensure successful launches of new products and solutions.
  • Liaise with internal crossfunctional teams including finance, IT and regulatory affairs to support new launches.
  • Participate in national tender negotiations.
  • Supports training of technical specialists to ensure efficient case coverage for assigned accounts.
  • Works closely with franchise manager to implement annual/quarterly sales plan and essential changes required to achieve objectives.
  • Exhibits strong business acumen with demonstrated agility to pivot business operations towards new market trends and landscape.
  • Consistently promote and champion the highest standards of professionalism, integrity and compliance at all times, including our Global Code of Business Conduct and Ethics and related policies and procedures.

Qualifications:

  • University/Bachelor's Degree or Equivalent
  • Proven experience over 7 years in medical devices sales.
  • 1 to 3 years in a sales/ people management position preferred.
  • Orthopedic knowledge in joints reconstruction preferred, with experience in handling operational aspects.
  • Launch excellence and marketing experience in medical devices is valued.
  • Strong teammate with exceptional interpersonal, communication & presentation skills.
  • Exposure to project management with experience leading crossfunctional teams is valued.
  • Strong, demonstrated leadership qualities, driven by a passion to excel in a customercentric organization.
  • Strong business acumen, strategic and critical thinking skills with understanding of healthcare ecosystem trends.
