The position will entail the following:
- Under direction from senior commodity business managers, support tactical procurement activities for existing contracts for transportation, warehouse, brokerage, and packaging , including bid analytics, cost analysis, negotiations, market intelligence research, etc.
- Support sourcing events, including the use of an online sourcing platform
- Generate reports from available systems/tools, understand and utilize the data for required analysis
- Conduct analytics of volume and spend for cost-savings/optimization opportunities
- Complete continuous improvement projects
- Documentation sourcing and supplier management processes
- Administration of reports and reporting for scheduled and ad hoc meetings
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree program in Supply Chain, Industrial Engineering, Business Management, Operations Management or a related field
- Experience in logistics, transportation or warehousing preferred
Knowledge, Skills, Attributes
- Quick learner in a variety of systems and processes
- Attention to detail and passion for problem-solving
- Ability to conduct multiple independent activities in a fast-paced environment
- Continuous improvement mindset
- Interest in negotiations, market and industry assessments, and meetings with suppliers
- Six sigma, statistical analysis, advanced data review and cleansing
