About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Commodity Markets and Finance Analyst to join our Commodities and Global Markets group at Macquarie Group. As a key member of our team, you will play a critical role in supporting our Commodity Markets and Financing business in Southeast Asia.

Key Responsibilities
  • Work closely with senior originators to identify profitable financing opportunities across the commodity supply chain.
  • Support the execution of structured financing opportunities and create bespoke solutions to suit client requirements.
  • Conduct analysis of positions and risks for Macquarie and our clients.
  • Prepare presentations for meetings and market commentary and analysis to send to clients.
  • Provide operational support and contribute to the origination, structuring, and execution of transactions.
Requirements
  • Recently graduated with a degree in Finance, Economics, Business, or a related field.
  • Prior experience, including internships, within Commodities financing.
  • Demonstrated expertise in building and modeling bespoke pricing sheets using Bloomberg feeds and company analysis using debt and credit market tools.
  • Excellent academic results and knowledge of commodity markets and familiarity with derivatives and general finance documentation.
  • A keen eye for detail and an excellent standard of work with demonstrated commercial astuteness and the ability to build strong working partnerships with stakeholders and clients.
  • Experience within a company trading physical commodities and ASEAN language skills would be advantageous.
