Support Engineer to join their team.

Role:

  • Manage and execute IT support for the company's business units and users, providing direct effort and troubleshooting as needed, and assuring both resolutions of user requests and client satisfaction.
  • Assist the Head of Infrastructure in managing IT support and operations for a mixedplatform environment that includes technology from Microsoft, Apple, AWS, and Google (among others).
  • Run support and operations for the company's network, cloud platforms, and business websites.
  • Monitor, maintain, and manage all IT equipment ensuring they are well protected from security threats and are patched regularly.
  • Maintain IT change management and inventory databases.
  • Design and deliver evolving changes to these platforms and the network, in conjunction with the Head of Infrastructure.
  • Evaluate office and network security and perform audits and penetration testing as needed, in conjunction with the Head of IT Security.
  • Design and execute relevant technical projects to ensure that requirements, milestones, and deliverables are met, as well as support other IT projects as needed.
  • Manage external vendors, delivery partners, and solution providers for project delivery and maintenance.
  • Evaluate and recommend technologies and vendors appropriate for the company's IT environment, and work with vendors on solution design and implementation.
  • Work with the company's counterparts as needed.
  • Work alongside the CTO, the Head of Infrastructure, the Head of Architecture, and any other senior technical staff and business stakeholders to set the strategic direction, policies, and deliverables for the company.
  • Work with the Head of Security and Head of Infrastructure to help define policies and standards for risk mitigation and security of the various company IT environments.
  • Manage Office IT equipment such as Multi-Function Copier, door access system, and Audio and Video conferencing.
  • Other duties and special projects as needed by the CTO or the Head of Infrastructure.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • At least 4 of experience in Information Technology supporting, maintaining, and troubleshooting system platforms and components such as office IT, PCs and mobile devices, networks, and cloud management.
  • Have demonstrable technical, problemsolving, and customer management experience, for example managing or running help desk support or providing systems administration support.
  • Strong preference for experience with multiple IT platforms, such as Microsoft 365, Google Workspace, Apple iOS, AWS, Azure, GCP, etc.
  • Familiarity with office operational systems such as CCTV, card access, UPS, and phone systems is helpful but not essential.
  • Ability to work with and manage vendors, partners, and solution providers.
  • Experience in financial services industries such as banking, capital markets, and insurance is preferred, but not required.
  • Experience with blockchain, distributed ledger technologies, and/or cryptocurrency is helpful but not required.
  • Certifications such as CompTIA A+, ITIL, and MCSE are desirable.
  • A degree in Computer Science or Information Technology is preferred.
