Your Role and Responsibilities

This job falls under IBM Consulting Learning and Knowledge organization, our organization specializes in creating education for IBM Consulting staff in different bands and levels starting from interns and ranging up to Partners and Associate Partners.


Responsibilities:

  • Works with different stakeholders (Learning Strategists/Consultants and Subject Matter Experts) to understand and assess the requirements for classroom, virtual or online selfpaced education solutions.
  • Crafts the storyline and articulates the overall learning approach outlining modules/lessons, defining learning objectives and instructional strategies, identifying delivery media, opportunities for practice, reinforcement, and assessment methods and putting these all together into a coherent design for developing and/or assembling solution content.

Required Technical and Professional Expertise

  • 8+ years of experience in Instructional Design
  • 5+ years of experience leading global project teams
  • Strong attention to detail and follow through skills
  • Experience managing, supervising others
  • Experience working with offshore, hybrid (onshore/offshore), and virtual teams
  • Experience consulting with senior business leaders on training/development projects

Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise

  • Be a result driven individual with a growth mindset
  • Experience in using the following tools:
  • Virtual Classroom tools (e.g., WebEx etc)
  • Large group (20+ participant) video conferencing solutions
  • Offtheshelf simulation, branching scenario tools (e.g., BranchTrack)
  • MS Office (PPT, Word, Excel)
  • PPT: creating presentations, interactive slideshows, inserting, embedding, and linking media and data, inserting hyperlinks, inserting and formatting media
  • Word: Page setup and formatting, using templates, tracking changes, formatting tables and documents
  • Excel: simple skills like creating spreadsheets, creating tables etc
  • Camtasia or any other video editing tool: video recording and editing (adding annotations and effects)
  • Captivate
  • Articulate Storyline
  • Videoscribe
  • Audacity (Audio recording/editing)
  • LVC Tools (Blackboard Collaborate, IBM Meetings, Zoom)
