Purpose of the Job


You will perform a generalist/business partnering role on full spectrum of HR duties for our employees in Asia covering primarily Singapore and Malaysia.

You will be the lead on recruitmentactivity in Asia
You will participate in activities to optimize employee engagement, efficiency and productivity to enhance the employee experience at AET.

You will support the Head of HR Asia in the execution of all HR processes and global initiatives while providing employees with high quality day-to-day support on all HR matters.

Key Accountabilities

Talent Acquisition

Partner with Businesses to manage talentacquisition, including but not limited to, identifying and activating best and cost efficient recruitment channels (social media, job boards, internet sourcing, etc.), conducting interviews and preparing offers proposal and execution.

Includes needs identification for new and backfill of positions, contributing to futureproofing the organization.
Develop relationships with third party recruitment agencies and staffing firms and manage the procurement and performance measurement process.
Create and maintain employee contracts.
Conduct employee orientation and induction as part of a suite of onboarding activities to support employee retention.
Consolidate and monitor budget for recruitment in Asia
Manage the AET internship program for Asia, including engagement with educational institutions and organisations for talent pipeline. This includes participation in career fairs, internships, events etc.
Support on international mobility activities including administering the terms and conditions of assignees on international assignments as needed.
Business Partnering
Partner with HOD's to ensure a complete understanding of business needs and objectives.
Proactively resolve HR and business issues and provide solutions through organizational effectiveness and employee life cycle.

Serve as an HR liaison across all aspects of HR: talent management, employee engagement, change management, organizational design and development, employee relations, compensation & benefits, diversity, equity and inclusion, and/or training, coaching and workforce planning.
Partner with HR CoEs - Talent Management, Learning and Compensation & Benefits to ensure efficient people and business support.
Role is also expected to
Deliver performance against specified HR KPIs and service levels and monitor self-performance and seek ways to continuously improve standards.
Create relevant reports (as required) and their associated analysis and presentation.

Act as back-up for payroll to ensure accurate and timely payroll processing (for employees based in Singapore and Malaysia) within statutory compliance through company appointed payroll vendor.

Assist internal/external audits and ensure that working practice in HR is following standard operating policies for ensuring compliance with local and regional legislative requirements.

Respond to queries regarding HR policies, procedures and programs.
Support HR engagement/welfare activities.
Be the backup to any other HR functions as and when required.
As and when any ad hoc tasks or project assignments.
To comply with Company's policies and Code of Conduct and Business Ethics (CoBE)

Qualifications:

Education:

A Degree in Human Resource Management or equivalent.

Experience:

Minimum 5 years of generalist HR experience with proven track record or specialization in a key HR functional area.
Proven experience managing end to end recruitment processes.
Familiar with local employment laws, regulations and practices.
Possess good communication and written skills.
Proficient in Microsoft Office.
Experience in SAP is an advantage.

S/he should hold a willingness to work a flexible schedule as AET operates across multiple time-zones, requiring some after-hours work and meeting attendance.

Experience in maritime or related industries will be an advantage.

Highly organized with excellent time management skills and ability to prioritize flexibly.
