Description

The position's level may vary depending on the selected person's profile. Based in CDPQ's Singapore subsidiary and reporting to the Senior Director, Private Equity, the chosen candidate will assist the International Private Equity team in achieving deployment and portfolio management goals. They will play a crucial role in optimizing returns, collaborating on transactions, and closely monitoring portfolio companies to enhance their value.

Main responsibilities

  • Participate in deal selection and assist in preparing preliminary analysis and documents for investment recommendations within set timelines
  • Support senior team members in conducting detailed financial modeling
  • Contribute to generating internal reports and ensuring their relevance
  • Analyze target companies' financial reports comprehensively, establish relevant comparables, and conduct detailed analyses
  • Assist senior team members in organizing meetings and discussions with current and potential partners
  • Conduct in-depth research on industry trends, monitor news proactively, and gather information from credible sources
  • Create efficient search and monitoring tools
  • Conduct sector studies and market screenings to drive the team's business development
  • Participate in enhancing work processes and updating necessary information
  • Add value to portfolio management by providing support to senior team members

Requirements

  • Singapore citizen or PR status preferred
  • Minimum of two (2) years' experience in finance or investment
  • Bachelor's degree in business, finance, economics, or accounting from a reputable institution
  • Master's degree in finance and/or CFA certification would be advantageous
  • Strong financial modeling and analysis capabilities
  • Familiarity with finance software such as Excel, Capital IQ, ThomsonOne, Bloomberg, etc.
  • Understanding of Indian and/or Japanese market dynamics is beneficial
  • Proficiency in written and spoken English is essential
  • Proficiency in Hindi and/or Japanese is advantageous for effective interactions with partners and target companies
  • Willingness to travel internationally frequently
