Summary of our opportunity

You will be a core member of the ICG Asia-Pacific Infrastructure team, and will play a key role in the evaluation, execution and management of investment opportunities in the energy transition, sustainability, and digital infrastructure space with a particular initial focus on renewable energy sub-sectors.

The Analyst will work closely with senior members of the team and be responsible for performing research and leading sections of financial analysis, modelling and preparation of investment approvals for investment opportunities. The Analyst will also be responsible for executing due diligence across various opportunities, and will be involved in a range of acquisitions, divestments and asset management initiatives. The candidate will also be involved in fundraising and investor management activities.

We are looking for candidates with an outstanding academic record in a relevant discipline, strong understanding of financial modelling and at least 1-2 years of experience working in Investment Banking, Private Equity or M&A. The candidate is detail-oriented, conscientious, and energetic professional with ability to think creatively.

Primary responsibilities for this role include (but are not limited to):

Analyze and evaluate potential investment opportunities in the energy transition, sustainability, and digital infrastructure space with a particular initial focus on renewable energy sub-sectors

Generate practical investment insights from bottom-up research on business models, key value drivers and investment risks

Develop detailed financial models clearly identifying recommended valuation range, critical business drivers, sensitivity analysis etc.

Prepare comprehensive investment memos / presentations clearly articulating industry insights, investment thesis and recommendation for the senior leadership team

Actively participate in meetings with target / portfolio company management teams and outside experts

Work with management teams on strategic business initiatives at portfolio companies

Assist senior management with fundraising activities

Key Requirements/ Qualifications

You will have demonstrable experience of: 

At least 1-2 years of experience working in Investment Banking, Private Equity or M&A.

Exposure to the infrastructure and / or renewable power and transition industry

Excellent financial modelling skills

Very strong analytical and quantitative skills and proven understanding of fundamental investment analysis

Strong ability to prioritize multiple responsibilities and work under tight deadlines

Excellent verbal and written communication; experience presenting analyses to senior leaders

Team-oriented; excellent interpersonal skills and ability to develop collaborative relationships at all levels in the organization

Ability to work independently and proactively in a fast-paced environment

Self-motivated with respect to both managing workload and own professional development
