About the role

Global travel strategy & customer management

  • Collaborate with the Director GT and stakeholders to devise and implement the GT territory's strategic plan
  • Create, negotiate, and execute the GT strategic plan with clients
  • Cultivate strong relationships with stakeholders to discover growth opportunities and enhance brand visibility
  • Monitor goal implementation, provide feedback for optimization, and drive continuous improvement
  • Develop Joint Business Plans (JPB) with key clients for category growth and strategic alignment
  • Conduct comprehensive business reviews centered on development and expansion
  • Foster robust commercial relationships and facilitate cross-functional collaboration across departments
  • Take ownership of the P&L, ensuring the achievement of volume, revenue, and profit targets through effective brand promotion and maximizing promotional ROI

Drive the achievement of key commercial objectives and delivery of KPIs

  • Accountable for TWE financial performance with P&L responsibility, focusing on volume, NSR, net margin, and trade spend budgets
  • Execute KPOs with major clients based on identified growth opportunities and business requirements
  • Utilize financial expertise to optimize ROI for Penfolds during negotiations and tactical initiatives
  • Oversee customer-related activities to ensure efficient trade spend management

People leadership, communication & coaching

  • Provide high-level leadership, development, and coaching to the GT Brand Ambassadors team, emphasizing sales skills and consumer experience excellence
  • Maintain regular communication with clients regarding performance, forecasts, and opportunities, ensuring plan execution
  • Offer feedback on the efficacy of execution strategies to drive volume, market share, and profitability
  • Ensure adequate product knowledge and training to enable effective key account management

Pricing & promotional effectiveness

  • Enhance pricing effectiveness through strategic pricing and promotional strategies
  • Manage the promotional calendar for the region, ensuring alignment with brand strategy
  • Develop innovative solutions within the TWE framework to address customer needs

Customer expert
Establish expertise in customer understanding, strategies, and tactics, effectively communicating these insights to internal stakeholders

Focus on the following:

  • Customer proposition and differentiation
  • Growth strategies and targets
  • Execution capabilities, including in-store achievements with brand ambassadors
  • Customer financial metrics and performance

About you

  • Degree in Business, Commerce, or Marketing
  • Preferably certified in Formal Wine Training (WSET)
  • Experience in duty-free and travel retail commercial operations is an advantage
  • Eight (8) years in regional and national key account management within wine, alcohol, or FMCG industries
  • Strong negotiation, analytical, and financial acumen for effective planning and execution
  • Track record of meeting customer needs while aligning with company strategy
  • Strategic thinking with a focus on business growth
  • Proven ability in negotiating with dynamic clients and adapting to change
  • Excellent communication and influencing skills
  • Successful sales track record and target achievement
  • Leadership skills to lead cross-functional teams
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office: Word, Excel, PowerPoint & Outlook
