SENIOR MANAGER/MANAGER CUSTOMS & TRADE COMPLIANCE APAC:

    YOUR MISSION:
  • Ensure PUMA is compliant with current regulations
  • Support the region / subsidiaries with classification, based on national regulations/interpretations of the WCO and in alignment with the Global Customs & Trade Compliance team
  • Conduct training on customs & trade compliance laws and regulations, as well as applicable policies and procedures APAC based company associates and new hires
  • Establish Customs and FTA requirements for countries within the region considering PUMA's sourcing factories' locations
  • Prepare and deliver training programs for PUMA employees and for the factories (T1) within the region regarding the Free Trade Agreements used by PUMA worldwide (if applicable), the Certificates of Origin, the Rules of Origin and Forms / Templates required by PUMA subsidiaries in using the benefits of FTAs
  • Support Global Customs & Trade Compliance team in (i) duty optimization, (ii) classification, (iii) customs valuation, or any other topics, focusing on the region but also from a Global standpoint
  • Support and assist with the implementation with any global and/or local/regional project/process that comes up, by being a strong contributor and showing enthusiasm to work as a team player from both the Customs & Trade team (globally) and from the subsidiaries within the Region
  • Represent PUMA towards APAC Industry Federations, if required and in alignment with the Global Head of Customs & Trade Compliance
  • Support the countries in the region in any customs audits & assessments including, if necessary, accompanying and/or representing the company in front of customs authorities

YOUR TALENT:

  • Minimum of 67 years of experience in Customs&Trade area
  • Experience in HS (tariff) classification, customs valuation and country of origin Determination. Good knowledge of import/ customs regulations, Free Trade Agreements, Rules of Origin, Import Duties and taxes, International Regulations
  • Excellent report writing and presentation skills (the ability to present trade compliance concepts in a technical environment and to persons at all levels, including top management)
  • Attention to detail and accuracy
  • Critical thinking and excellent problem solving and analysis skills
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize, with excellent time management skills
  • Ability to handle confidential information frequently and appropriately
  • Capable of working independently in support of customs and trade compliance objectives and working collaboratively with different stakeholders across the business and the region, including management team
  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills
  • Professional English level (written and spoken) is required
  • Apparel & footwear industry experience is a plus
