DTS Ambulance (Medical Transport) is a new start up company. We provide non-emergency Ambulance services. We are in the midst of setting up and start operations estimated on 1st November 2023.

Requirements:

  • Atleast 5 years job experience as paramedic
  • Proficient in Ms word/Exel
  • Good in IT skills
  • Have leadership qualities
**Key Role Responsibilities
Ø Oversee all ambulance operations.

Ø Working with the Clinical Directorate to ensure a high quality of clinical care is delivered across all contracts

Ø Undertake incident investigation where required


Ø Report to the Directors, providing monthly delivery reports and a clear plan for ongoing delivery, with a focus on high quality and best possible patient care.


  • Assists in preparing and implementing ambulance contracts, and related policies and procedures.
  • Maintains departmental daytoday Medical Transport services, monitor, and prioritize MTS staff workflow and schedules.
  • Ensures inspection of vehicles and make sure that all equipment complies with MOH rules and regulations.
  • Provides direction, leadership, and day to day management of the assigned Operations Department, inclusive of marketing, communications, and fleet services.
  • Assists with the development, implementation, and enforcement of policies, procedures, and guidelines which promote sound patient care, customer service, employee health and safety, and limits / minimizes risk and liability.
  • Implements programs which ensure cleanliness and readiness for duty of Ambulances.
  • Ensures all Ambulances are appropriately stocked and outfitted to comply with MOH Standards.
  • Prepares and compiles various periodic reports and documents for review and analysis. These may include weekly payroll stats, personnel stats, absence reports, over time tracking and other related reports.
  • Required to protect the privacy of all patient information in accordance with the agency's privacy policies, procedures, and practices as in accordance with general principles of professionalism as a health care provider.
  • Ensures staff fulfilment of administrative duties, including thorough and timely call reports, equipment maintenance, uptodate credentials, etc., making improvements to these processes where necessary.
  • Works closely with members of Directors and Human Resource staff to develop and enforce policies and procedures that promote sound patient care and consistent customer service, protect employee health and safety, and minimize risk and liability.
  • Participates in new employee orientation and assists with all new hire paperwork.
  • Assists with training programs, including onboarding, field training, and ongoing professional development initiatives; opportunities to propose and lead new training initiatives.
  • Maintain an "open door" policy to field concerns and encourage employees to discuss any issues and make suggestions for improvement.
  • Monitor workers, resolve issues and inquiries from field personal regarding work assignments, vehicles, equipment, and any other issues that may arise
  • Submits weekly/monthly reports as requested to include staffing variations, significant events, unit hour deployment, scheduling efficiency, unit hour utilization, and recommendations for system improvement.
  • Researches/develops new or revised procedures, concepts, and techniques relevant to quality care and service; works with employees to correct deficiencies or to strengthen the level of service as needed.
  • Oversees recruiting, retention, disciplinary actions, salary actions, and annual performance reviews.
  • Investigates and resolves incoming customer service inquiries from hospitals, nursing staff, and patients pertaining to field employee performance and patient care.

Troubleshoot immediate issues as they arise:
risk management issues, infection control, HR incidents, etc.

  • Resolves scheduling conflicts that may occur during shifts to ensure continuation of the highest level of service.
  • Create shifts and assignments where needed, and modify daily schedule as needed, which includes notifying and communicating with employees re: shift assignments.
  • Reviews and verifies employee hours for accuracy. Assist in recording and maintaining employee attendance records/files and payroll functions.
  • Approves or disapproves shift exchanges when proper notice of request has been given.
  • Provides problemsolving assistance and mentoring to lessexperienced team members.
