Specifically:

  • Strategic guidance to the SPM job family
  • Facilitates the strategic partnership between Property and the supply partner(s)
  • Sets and drives strategic vision, objectives and values of the partnerships.
  • Ensures effective end to end implementation of the bank's governance model for the entire supply chain
  • Lead the development of the partnership(s) to optimised geographic and service scope.
  • Aligns partnership with Bank's conduct and strategic intent.
  • Partners with SCM to drive effective operational risk controls and commercial efficiencies with service providers and suppliers
  • Build appropriate culture / values which are adequately recognised and rewarded.
  • Strategic development owner across the Bank for Cushman and Wakefield
  • Sets and drives the strategic vision, objectives and values of the partnership(s).
  • Lead the development of the partnership(s) to optimised geographic and service scope.
  • Aligns partnership with Bank's conduct and strategic intent.
  • Partner with SCM to drive effective operational risk controls and commercial efficiencies with service providers and suppliers
  • Build appropriate culture / values which are adequately recognised and rewarded.
  • Influencing the Supply Partnership strategies through the execution of the Property category strategy and supplier strategic reviews
  • Demonstrates the performance and commercial benefits of our partnering arrangements so as to meet stakeholder expectations
  • Key point of contact with Supply Partner Commercial Leads at an Account Level. Provides leadership in resolving material commercial matters

Processes

  • Driving the end to end approach for strategic global suppliers
  • Sets and drives the strategic vision, objectives and values of the partnership(s).
  • Leads the development of the partnership(s) to optimised geographic and service scope.
  • Aligns partnership with Property and Bank's strategic intent.
  • Manage Property Supply Chain activities end-to-end
  • Ensures effective end to end implementation of the bank's governance model for the entire supply chain.
  • Senior point of escalation between Property and Supply partner. Leads escalated unresolved strategic resolution management for the partnership.
  • Manage financial and commercial matters in alignment with glidepath and contractual agreements.
  • Chairs Change Control Committee for managing contractual implication of change requests including financial re-baselining
  • Drive implementation of periodic reviews. Analyse and validate Supply Partner governance reports.

Performance Management

  • Lead performance management at a strategic level with supply partners with clarity against clear and aligned deliverables.
  • Accountable for all third-party suppliers (excluding landlords) in terms of compliance, performance and change management.
  • Leads strategic change management for partnership transformation activity.
  • Drives Supply Partners' Performance at account leadership level.
  • Resolves performance management escalation in alignment with the supply partner leadership.
  • Resolves the root cause of thematic performance management issues.
  • Analyses performance data (including KPIs and Performance dashboards) and agree action plan for identified gaps.
  • Reviews Performance Scorecards and embed improvements to ensure MSA and Property scorecard outcome are met.
  • Monitors sample testing of data underpinning key metrics.

Compliance

  • Responsible for evidencing compliance with group third parties' policies, procedures and standards
  • Accountable for ensuring management of suppliers meets with the Group's TPRM standards.
  • Specifically, responsible for ensuring all onboarding of new suppliers is compliant with the Group Procurement Policy and Group Staff Screening Policy.
  • Maintain and ensure compliance with TPRM Day -2 Third Party Ongoing Management
  • Interpret and disseminate bank policies, standards with the Supply Partner where required. With Process and policy owners, evidence compliance with group policies, procedures and standards (TPRM, GSSP, Data Security, ABC etc.).
  • Responsible for resolving risk issues with supply partners at an account level.
  • Own process to identify compliance gaps and track action plans to close gaps. Ensure compliance with NEW and Subcontractor (TPRM Definition) on boarding obligations.

Change and Simplification

  • Collaborate with Supply Chain Management to identify optimisation opportunities and recommend solutions add to simplify the supply chain, reduce activity and bureaucracy whilst ensuring compliance with policy.
  • Leads in driving material change initiatives which impact the overall supply partnership governance and operating model

People & Talent

  • Sets the vision and objectives for the SPM team and partners against the performance framework model
  • Collaborates with HR defining and implementing Job Family training/ capability requirements to meet the new objectives.
  • Ensuring that the residual risks within the scope of role responsibilities remain within appetite. This includes :
  • Challenge and verify Regional First Line risk identification and assessments, in line with changes in the internal and external environment
  • Identify and report key risks and ensure where outside of the risk appetite they are escalated to the appropriate body for risk acceptance
  • Maintain a good understanding of regional applicable laws and regulations pertaining to PROPERTY Risk control areas
  • Design, implement and maintain controls and mitigants where gaps have been identified
  • Ensure effective communication of policies and other control requirements
  • Define any additional control indicators and control sample testing requirements as appropriate for managing supply partner and commercial and performance risk
  • Monitor supply partnerships compliance with and effectiveness of the risk control environment
  • Monitor 'live' risk issues and events material to the Bank and verify whether appropriate management action is being taken to mitigate their impact

Governance

  • Ensure supply partners commercial and performance outcomes meet with the contractual frameworks, bank policy and standards incl. TPRM etc.
  • Advise governance bodies on key risks, the effectiveness of mitigants and controls, and alignment of residual risks with appetite
  • Ensure at all times supply partnership outcomes under role purview are audit ready

Regulatory & Business Conduct

  • Display exemplary conduct and live by the Group's Values and Code of Conduct.
  • Take personal responsibility for embedding the highest standards of ethics, including regulatory and business conduct, across Standard Chartered Bank. This includes understanding and ensuring compliance with, in letter and spirit, all applicable laws, regulations, guidelines and the Group Code of Conduct.
  • Lead the Property team to achieve the outcomes set out in the Bank's conduct principles; Fair Outcomes for Clients; Effective Operation of Financial Markets; Financial Crime Prevention; The Right Environment.
  • Effectively and collaboratively identify, escalate, mitigate and resolve risk, conduct and compliance matters.

Our Ideal Candidate

  • MBA or similar professional qualification.
  • Real Estate, Quantity Surveying, Building Services, Business/Finance, Procurement, related degree.
  • CORENET MCR or equivalent Property related accreditations.
  • 10+ years of Experience in Real Estate, Commercial Management or Supply Chain
