Head of Finance Singapore/South Asia

We are in search of a Head of Finance for Asendia Singapore/South Asia. This role, based in Singapore, reports to the CEO of Singapore/South Asia. As the right-hand financial expert to the CEO, you will steer the financial strategy for Asendia Singapore/South Asia, overseeing strategic financial plans to maintain the company's cash flow, profitability, and continued success. This pivotal position demands meticulous handling and supervision of all financial and accounting duties to ensure precision, timeliness, and compliance with internal and external standards. Additionally, you will be responsible for the business's budgeting, financial planning and analysis, pricing, and profitability management. You will also focus on driving efficiency and process enhancements within the finance team.

Your Tasks

  • Supervise all accounting and finance functions; establish and manage local financial and accounting policies to adhere to GAAP, IFRS, tax regulations, and other guidelines, as well as regulatory reporting.
  • Compile monthly, quarterly, and year-end accounts and statutory accounts, guaranteeing conformity with Singapore Financial Reporting Standards (FRS) and IFRS accounting standards.
  • Coordinate the Annual General Meeting with the Board of Directors of the legal entity; lead the preparation and delivery of financial updates during monthly business review meetings with senior management and stakeholders.
  • Collaborate closely with internal teams such as regional and head offices, offering financial guidance, conducting information analysis, and presenting recommendations.
  • Identify and mitigate critical financial risks that could impact the company's performance adversely by conducting financial analyses on products, operational efficiency, and expenses to provide decision-making insights and uncover risks and opportunities.
  • Design and optimize F&A processes to ensure operational efficiency by promoting finance operations and process excellence within your team through technology transformation and automation.
  • Guide and supervise the team to foster exceptional teamwork, enhance team competencies, and drive operational excellence.

Your Profile

  • Hold a minimum Accounting or Finance degree, with a preference for being ACCA or CIMA qualified or possessing equivalent qualifications.
  • Have at least 8 years of pertinent work experience, including a minimum of 3 years in managerial roles and/or over 3 years in Financial Planning & Analysis tasks.
  • Possess extensive knowledge in financial management, demonstrated through experience in planning and performance processes like annual budgeting, monthly forecasting, and periodic business reviews.
  • Demonstrate strong business acumen and a track record of business partnering with the management team to drive management accounting and finance operations excellence.
  • Showcase strong analytical and proactive problem-solving capabilities, excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, the ability to multitask, and meet strict business deadlines.
  • Exhibit robust computer skills, with experience in using Finance systems such as SAP, and/or implementing finance technology transformations.
  • Have proven leadership and teamwork skills in a multicultural setting; be a team player who is flexible, adaptable to change, and displays excellent interpersonal skills at all levels.
  • Possess excellent oral and written communication skills, including the ability to develop and deliver compelling presentations to high-level stakeholders.
  • Be fluent in English, with additional languages being a plus.
