Senior Key Account Executive (Japan Market)


We are looking for an experienced sales professional to join our Key Accounts team within the SMB Restaurant Solutions group in APAC.

Our team builds exceptional, strategic, and long-term relationships with the largest and most valuable companies in the Restaurant industry.

We find ways to solve our clients' many business challenges with a variety of Tripadvisor solutions, thereby supporting our customers and driving revenue for Tripadvisor.

We work across multiple internal and external stakeholders to ensure we find the right strategy for each of our partners.


You are the right person for this role if you are proactive, motivated, strategic, organized, and able to work well in a fast-paced, highly-driven and entrepreneurial environment.

This role requires excellent sales and communications skills as well as effective relationship-building talents.

Beyond that, we are seeking sales experience in e-commerce, SAS, and other digital platforms along with demonstrated success with exceeding sales targets.

You must be speaking English and Japanese fluently for this role.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop trust relationships with a portfolio of major clients to ensure they do not turn to competition
  • Acquire a thorough understanding of key customer needs and requirements
  • Expand the relationships with existing customers by continuously proposing solutions that meet their objectives
  • Provide indepth product demonstrations along with the ability to negotiate and close new business
  • Serve as the link of communication between key customers and internal teams
  • Consultatively position our Restaurant solutions, value proposition and benefit for business success
  • Modify customer engagement to overcome objections and win customers; identify solutions to issues and concerns.
  • Be capable of engaging with prospects appropriate to their needs and metrics (i.e. ReturnonInvestment, traffic, views, and sessions)
  • Achieve and exceed agreed sales targets monthly and quarterly on revenue, conversion number of new customers & other related KPIs
  • Collaborate with Optimization and Continuity teams in the pursuit of excellent results and flawless execution
  • Resolve issues and problems faced by customers in a profitable manner.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 5 years sales experience, preferably selling into more complex organizations
  • Bachelor's Degree
  • Inside Sales or Key Account Sales experience. Preferably in Acquisition or Business Development
  • Excellent written and oral communication in the relevant language/s of the country covered
  • Demonstrated sales aptitude (negotiation & closing) with relentlessly high standards
  • Not intimidated by technical interaction, cobrowsing with customer online
  • Target driven and proven selfstarter with ability to deliver on initiatives without constant supervision
  • Territory and pipeline management experience using a CRM (Salesforce)
  • Coachability, openness to feedback and dedication to consistent selfimprovement
