Roles & Responsibilities

Air Operation Officer

Working day: 5.5 day during probation, 5.25 after probation (Alt Sat)
Working Hours: 9am to 6pm (Mon to Fri), 9am to 1pm (Sat)
Salary: $2400 - $3000
Location: Changi

Responsibilities:

  • Receive job assignments from Customer Service to prepare AWB drafts for customers, forwarders, and overseas agents for verification.
  • Request draft permits (CIPL) for export prior to shipment arrival.
  • Coordinate with customers and overseas agents, monitor emails for updates and instructions.
  • Upon cargo arrival at the warehouse, confirm quantities, weight, and dimensions; update details in the system and print original AWB copies.
  • Submit required documentation (FWB, FHL, permits, etc.).
  • Handle pre-alerts, billing, and other export-related communications and operational tasks.
  • Monitor pre-alerts to initiate customs release or arrange for delivery.
  • Inspect cargo at the warehouse for discrepancies, consult with the team leader if needed.
  • Coordinate with customers and overseas agents, monitor emails for updates.
  • Pre-declare customs permits for incoming shipments.
  • Submit shipment details to Singapore Customs through the CCN website.
  • Handle billing, emails, and other import-related operations.

Requirements:

  • Proficiency in both English and Mandarin to effectively communicate with Mandarin-speaking associates.
  • Strong skills in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively with air operations and cross-functional teams.
  • Self-motivated, with a team-oriented mindset and a willingness to learn.
  • Flexibility to work overtime as needed to meet client and operational demands.
