Roles & Responsibilities

The Other Clinic is a team-based practice with a strong work ethic and emphasis on community and training.

Job Description

  • To therapeutically work with adults, couples and their families
  • Assess and Formulate individualised therapy plans
  • Providing individual and couples interventions using evidence based practice
  • Parenting interventions
  • work with neuro diversity ADHD, ASD, learning difficulties within a couples context
  • Ability to work face-to-face and online
  • Report writing where necessary
  • Liaising with other professionals e.g. psychiatrists, GP's.
  • Providing talks, workshops and training
  • Working with corporate clients
  • Working with crisis response, first responder
  • Competencies Required
  • Masters in counselling
  • Minimum 4 years experience of a variety of treatment modes
  • Specialist Additional therapeutic training in the folllowing models CBT, ACT, Gottman, EFT, schema
  • Experience working with co-parenting
  • Experience trauma informed approach.
  • Experience working with de-coupling not just on helping couples stay together
  • Experince and training working with trauma and domestic violence
  • Experince of working with clients from diverse, cultural backgrounds.
  • Previous experience working in private setting with local population and expats is desirable.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and a team player
  • Experince in working with complex cases trauma, bi-polar
  • Additional experience training and confidence in working with self-harm, violence or suicidality is desirable.
  • Experience of working with complex cases risk, self-harm, suicidality, OCD, emerging personality disorders, dual diagnosis, interpersonal violence, historic substance misuse
  • registration with SAC.
  • Open to workign as a supervisor for counsellors
  • Experience working in a multi-disciplinary team e.g. shared cases
  • Flexibility to work regular evenings and weekends (3 evenings and saturdays), home visit where necessary
  • Experience of implementing structured change models
  • Committed to attending regular supervision
  • Ability to work with autonomy and be a team player
  • Flexible working in a fast-paced environment that is growing
  • IT skills in Office Applications such as Word, Excel, use of Apps
