Responsibilities
Job PurposeYou will be part of the team to provide casework and counselling services for families, aiming for healthy family functioning and delivering divorce support programmes to affected families, ensuring stability and self-reliance.
Job Roles and ResponsibilitiesCasework & Counselling- Part of the Intake & Triage Team to conduct intake assessments for new intakes, identifying needs, strengths, and risks, and making necessary referrals.
- Conduct counselling for individuals, couples, and families experiencing marital and family-related stress.
- Manage cases and hold case conferences with stakeholders.
- Plan, review, and facilitate groupwork interventions for parents and children.
- Facilitate premarital and divorce-related programmes and workshops to enhance relationships and cope with life transitions.
- Supervise visitation access of divorcing/divorced parents with their children, ensuring smooth and safe sessions.
- Provide programme and clinical supervision to junior Counsellors/Social Workers and interns/Family Life Educators to ensure programme fidelity and quality service delivery.
- Contribute to quality practice and professional matters in the agency.
- Engage in research to evaluate activities and identify service gaps.
- Facilitate internal training for the team/service point.
- Support networking and advocacy sessions with partners and stakeholders.
- Master's Degree in Counselling or Bachelor's Degree in Social Work (preferably with recognised certification in Counselling).
- At least 5 years of relevant casework/counselling experience involving family, parents, and children, including training and workshop experience.
- Preferably an accredited member of SASW or a clinical member of SAC.
- Flexibility to work half Saturdays (Tues - Fri: 8.30 am - 6 pm and Sat: 1.30-6.30 pm).
- Comfortable in conflict management.
- Able to work at multiple sites but primarily based in the East.
- Master's Degree in Counselling or Bachelor's Degree in Social Work (preferably with recognised certification in Counselling).
- At least 3 years of direct relevant experience as a counsellor or social worker, excluding internships or as voluntary staff.
- Experience working with children, parents, couples, etc. is a plus.
