We are seeking a highly motivated andpassionate individual to join the Major Gifts team as AssistantDirector.

The key responsibilitiesare
  • To develop and managerelationships and activities related to the cultivation,solicitation, and stewardship of donors and major gifts to maximisethe University's philanthropic outcomes.
  • Totake a strategic approach to fundraising which include major gifts,capital fundraising, corporate donations, grants andbequests.
  • To leverage on the Universityleadership, faculty, and volunteers, in collaboration with otherUAO colleagues, to advance relationships and gift discussions andensure alumni, friends and corporate partners and foundations arebest positioned to provide maximum levels of philanthropic supportfor NTU's campaign priorities.
  • To lead andfacilitate gift structuring to optimise donor's gift purpose andmanage the process of closing the gift and work with the UAOStewardship Team to cultivate and steer donors to the next level ofgiving.


Requirements
  • ABachelor's Degree in any discipline.
  • Experiencein Higher Education/Not-For-Profit fundraising with an ability toachieve monthly activity targets as a key metric of performance, ispreferred. Candidates with appropriate businessdevelopment/consultative sales experience may also beconsidered.
  • Demonstrated experience managingcomplex and diverse relationships and the proven ability tocollaborate effectively with multiplestakeholders.
  • Exceptional interpersonal skillswith proven ability to liaise, consult and negotiate confidentlyand professionally with donors, faculty, staff, and otherstakeholders at all levels.
  • Excellent writtencommunication skills with extensive experience in developingbusiness cases, proposals, andpresentations.
  • Well-developed planning andorganisational skills with the ability to prioritise workload, meetdeadlines and work under pressure in a fast-moving teamenvironment.
  • Sound acumen and strongprofessional presence as well as a collegial work style thatpromotes teamwork, creativity and opencommunication.
  • Awareness of and sensitivity toa diverse range of stakeholders.
  • A global,socially conscious mindset with an understanding and appreciationof cultural and intercultural sensitives.
  • Aproactive and solutions-orientedapproach.
  • Ability to influence withoutauthority.
