About the role:
This role focuses on generating revenue opportunities by actively going after new clients and identifying white space opportunities, while maintaining/growing current list of clients.
Knowledge of market research is critical as you will often be advising clients of the best solutions to solve their business issues.
You need a strong drive to achieve and push to succeed to exceed sales targets and seek outstanding rewards.
Hunger to make a sale, experience in revenue growth and new business opportunities are essential to your success. You’ll need to be results orientated, competitive, and comfortable challenging and influencing clients at all levels and across all markets.
Responsibilities:
Responsible for new business development for Southeast Asia countries
New business development shall include, but not be restricted to
- Leads generation
- Pipeline management
- Collaboration with country representatives to penetrate and grow clientele
- Handling daily sales inquiries and prepare quotations and proposals for clients
- Managing weekly sales progress and report to the top management
- Following up on potential bids and sales issues from commissioned projects
- Presenting Rakuten Insight's services and products professionally to clients
- Preparing proposals and communicating solutions to prospects independently
- Communicating with project teams across different countries effectively
- Developing sales analysis and strategic business development plan to achieve sales target
- Identifying new business opportunities and pro-actively approach new clients
- Work closely with project managers to ensure timely delivery of projects to the highest quality
- Main/grow current list of clients
- In the course of general business, you may be required to supervise junior staff in your direct report line.
- Develop local vendor partnerships in order to best support demand from various offices
Position Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree
- At least 2-5 years of experience in Market Research and/or Data Analytics, with a proven track record of independently meeting sales targets.
- Extensive experience in client relationship development and management
- Good network of potential clients across Southeast Asia and have the ability to create new leads from cold searching/calling/targeting
- Managing and achieving the assigned revenue target
- Hands-on research project experience such as writing proposal, questionnaire design, fieldwork and data processing experience will be an added advantage
- Outstanding communication and presentation skills
- Good Understanding of sales & marketing
- Proficient in Verbal/Written English as you will be working closely with stakeholders from across SEA
- Some technical knowledge on web/database/statistical application
