Roles & Responsibilities

SHRI Academy is a premier provider of HR education in Singapore, offering a diverse range of academic programmes designed to empower individuals with the skills and expertise needed to thrive in the evolving field of human resources.

The Senior Manager/Manager (Academic Operations) will play a key role in driving student engagement, overseeing academic operations, ensuring regulatory compliance, and implementing process improvements. This position is vital to the continued success of SHRI Academy and its mission to advance the HR profession in Singapore and the region.


Key Responsibilities


1. Student Engagement

  • Cultivate a positive and enriching learning environment that enhances the student experience.
  • Serve as the main point of contact for students, addressing concerns and providing guidance throughout their academic journey.
  • Design and implement student engagement initiatives to improve retention and satisfaction.
  • Collect and manage student feedback for insights to drive continuous improvement.

2. Academic Operations

  • Manage the daily operations of academic programmes, including scheduling, resource allocation, and faculty coordination.
  • Ensure the smooth delivery of programmes, maintaining high-quality teaching standards.
  • Collaborate with faculty and instructors to provide support and guidance for effective curriculum delivery.
  • Plan and execute key events including orientation sessions, graduation ceremonies, and workshops.

3. Regulatory Compliance

  • Ensure all academic programmes and operations comply with Committee for Private Education (CPE) and other regulatory standards.
  • Maintain accurate and comprehensive documentation to meet audit and accreditation standards.
  • Monitor regulatory changes and ensure SHRI’s policies and processes are updated accordingly.

4. Processes Improvement

  • Identify and implement opportunities to enhance operational efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Drive initiatives to improve the quality of academic services.
  • Leverage technology to streamline administrative tasks and improve stakeholder experiences.
  • Analyse performance metrics and provide data-driven recommendations to the senior team.

5. Team Management

  • Lead, mentor, and manage a team of academic staff to meet organisational objectives.
  • Assign responsibilities, set clear performance expectations, and monitor team progress.
  • Facilitate professional development opportunities to build team competencies.
  • Foster a collaborative and inclusive culture focused on continuous improvement and excellence.
  • Conduct regular team meetings to ensure alignment with organisational goals and operational priorities.

6. Strategic Contributions

  • Collaborate with the senior leadership team to align academic initiatives with SHRI’s strategic goals.
  • Contribute to the development of new programmes and partnerships to expand SHRI Academy’s reach and offerings.
  • Support the implementation of SHRI’s vision to become the leading professional HR body in Asia.


Qualifications and Skills

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Education, Business Administration, HR, or a related field
  • At least 8 years of experience in academic operations, education management, or a related field.
  • Strong understanding of Singapore’s regulatory requirements for private education institutions (PEIs).
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with a proven ability to inspire and engage students.
  • Possess a proven track record in project management and process improvement initiatives.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a dynamic environment and adapt to evolving priorities.
  • Strong leadership qualities with a commitment to fostering a culture of excellence and continuous learning.
