Senior Executive/Asst Manager, Lab Management

The SeniorExecutive/Assistant Manager, Lab Management is a key position inthe School of Physical and MathematicalSciences.
The incumbent reports directly to theManager, Student Administration and will manage SPMS' new MSPSIlaboratory by processing the administrative, operational andtechnical matters.
KeyResponsibilities:
- Manage andoversee the delivery of courses and programs utilizing thePSILab
- Ensure lab facilities, equipment, andresources are well-prepared, maintained, and aligned with courserequirements
- Organize and coordinate labsessions
- Conceptualize, plan, and developinnovative lab facilities, tools, and equipment to enhance thelab's capabilities, and expand the scope of experiments andprojects for hands-on learning in advanced science andengineering
- Oversee project and experimentdevelopment, including collaborating with stakeholders, andmanaging timelines and budgets
- Implement newexperiments and projects to bridge theoretical knowledge withpracticalapplications
Requirements:
- Educationand Experience: Bachelor's degree in an engineering or sciencefield with 1-2 years of relevant experience in academicadministration and technical roles, with a proven record ofexcellent performance.
- Technical Proficiency:Familiarity or expertise in one or more tools and software such asMATLAB, LabVIEW, Python, ROS1/2, EDA, CAD, 3D modeling, circuitdesign, CNC/FDM/laser prototyping, electronics prototyping,IoT/AIoT, microcontrollers (Arduino, ESP-32, NVIDIA, Raspberry Pi),Linux/Windows OS, computer vision, AI, and signalprocessing.
- Software Skills: Proficiency inMicrosoft Office, Google Suite, Microsoft Teams, and Zoom;experience with data management software isadvantageous.
- Communication and InterpersonalSkills: Strong written and verbal communication, with the abilityto interact professionally with students, faculty, staff, andparents. Capable of explaining technical concepts clearly andcollaborating effectively in team settings.
- LabManagement: Proficient in managing inventory, maintaining labequipment, and ensuring precision in setup, calibration, andoperation.
