Roles & Responsibilities

Job Scope:

1. Lead Academic Planning and Programme Management

a. Develop and implement academic initiatives, policies, and guidelines to ensure good governance.

b. Oversee planning, management, and coordination of SMiE and MiE

c. Develop and implement academic operational initiatives, policies, and guidelines to ensure good governance

d. Initiate inter-school collaborations and curriculum enhancements

e. Oversee execution of university-wide academic initiatives and strategic plans

2. Manage Academic Programme Operations

a. Oversee and monitor student enrolments, withdrawals, and academic progress

b. Manage programme and course administration such as:

• academic proposal submissions

• timetable scheduling

• instuctor engagement and deployment

• instructor appreciation

• course registration

• teaching facilities and logistics

• results review and processing

• Ensure proper setup of course sites (NTULearn)

• Student Feedback in Teaching (SFT) and instructor evaluation

• student progression tracking

• student advisory (academic)

c. Coordinate with Office of Academic Services (OAS) on candidature matetrs eg. verify SMiE and MiE awards for graduation

d. Manage course approvals, submissions, and course mapping for outbound exchanges for students across the University

e. Oversee inbound exchange students with course selections and approvals.

3. Ensure Academic Governance & Policy Compliance

a. Ensure adherence to school's academic guidelines, practices, policies, and university-wide regulations.

b. Review and implement academic policy updates periodically or when required, ensuring all curriculum changes and practices are aligned with school's framework.

c. Develop and maintain processes to track curriculum compliance, course approvals, and regulatory adherence.

4. Strengthen Stakeholder Engagement

a. Act as the liaison between faculty, school administration, and Joint Programme Partners.

b. Manage relationships with academic partners, industry associations, and professional bodies to enhance programme offerings.

c. Collaborate with faculty and external stakeholders to support cross-disciplinary entrepreneurship education..

5. Drive Process Improvement & Quality Assurance

a. Conduct regular curriculum reviews and teaching evaluations to maintain programme excellence.

b. Review and optimise academic workflows and operational processes.

c. Ensure adherence to academic integrity, governance, and quality standards.

d. Implement best practices to improve efficiency in academic operations.

6. Spearhead Publicity & Course Development

a. Lead collaborations with the Student Engagement and Development (SED) arm to execute marketing strategies to increase enrolment for SMiE, MiE, and elective courses.

b. Work with academic leadership to analyse student demand and design/develop new/enhanced credit-bearing courses.

c. Oversee process of recruitment and engagement of faculty and instructors.

d. Collaborate with SED to implement outreach initiatives to promote NTUpreneur’s academic programmes.

7. Manage Team Leadership & Budget Planning

a. Lead and mentor the academic management team to ensure high performance.

b. Develop and monitor budget allocations for academic operations.

c. Prepare and present reports for management and key stakeholders.

d. Ensure the team meets annual performance targets and strategic goals.


Working Arrangement:

Location: Nanyang Avenue

Salary: S$4,800 to S$5,700

Working Hours:

8.30 am to 5.45pm (Mon to Thur) and 8.30 am to 5.15 am (Fri)

Contract Duration: 1 Year


Requirements:

• A bachelor’s degree from a university with at least 6 years of experience in academic administration, programme management, or higher education operations

• Strong background in faculty coordination, curriculum development, and academic policy implementation

• Proven ability to lead and manage teams, ensuring smooth academic operations and effective collaboration with faculty and instructors.

• Excellent organisational and problem-solving skills to handle multiple academic processes efficiently

• Strong analytical and critical thinking abilities to assess programme performance, policy implications, and operational improvements.

• Meticulous attention to detail to ensure accuracy in academic records, reporting, and policy implementation

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and academic management systems

• Effective interpersonal and communication (written and verbal) skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with students, faculty, University and external stakeholders

• Proactive, self-motivated, and adaptable, capable of working independently and within a team in a fast-paced academic environment

• Strategic mindset with a long-term vision for academic planning and curriculum development.

• Strong ethical and professional integrity to uphold university standards and academic governance
