Global Distribution is responsible for the commercial and business strategy, operations, and services such as payment for the digital third party channels that drive business for Hiltons’ 6,400 hotels globally.

What will I be doing?

The Senior Director, Distribution – Asia Pacific (APAC) will lead the successful execution of strategies and tactics designed to ensure that digital third party demand, revenues, and business mix compliment Hilton’s overarching distribution strategies and commercial objectives. The incumbent will be responsible for the account strategy for Online Travel Agents (OTA), Bedbanks, and other digital third party channels, as well as relationship management, media program optimization, and business development. The incumbent will establish the guardrails for new channel engagement and the continued enhancement of existing channel partner performance.

The Senior Director, Distribution – APAC will lead key commercial negotiations with third parties, evangelize the distribution vision with cross-functional key partner groups within the organization, and must be able to identify business risks and opportunities.  The incumbent will make critical, data driven decisions and have the ability to push distribution initiatives from ideation through to execution in a highly collaborative fashion. 

More specifically, the incumbent will:

Create, communicate, and execute a well-defined online distribution strategy and roadmap with clear critical metric objectives. Define, develop, and lead strategic and tactical regional, and local channel optimization plans that support the company's commercial objectives. Ensure the successful integration of distribution channel initiatives into broader commercial focus strategies. Direct the creation and maintenance of frequent and accurate monitoring, analysis, tracking, and Quality Assurance (QA) processes across all channel partners and associated tools and processes, driving continuous improvement. Oversee large-scale operational projects, centered around improving key distribution processes and functions, with a continued focus on effective change management and low impact deployment. Enhance the management, analysis, and communication of channel performance against critical metrics. Effectively negotiate third party contracts, stay current with distribution related legislation and contribute to strategic engagement with influencers in the space. Liaise with cross-functional teams to improve the understanding of channel demand and implement tactics to direct the demand in a way that supports strategic enterprise revenue optimization goals. Enhance the regions understanding of the online third party space, as well as the global team’s understanding of APAC specific distribution trends and needs. Stay abreast of and provide subject matter expertise on distribution related industry trends and innovation opportunities, including new players and business and economic models. Build, lead, and develop a team of exceptional online third party strategy, operations, and optimization professionals. Develop and build new programs to support APAC hotels performance and increase reach to consumers. Requirements

To fulfill this role successfully, you should demonstrate the following minimum qualifications:

10 years of professional experience 10 years working in role-relevant environments and fields 5 years managing people Travel regionally and globally, up to 30%

BA/BS Bachelor's Degree and/or MA/MS Master’s Degree in Business Administration Professional experience in digital travel, hospitality, or adjacent industries and business disciplines Sound understanding of Hilton brands, operations, systems, and organization
