  • The Facilities Manager evaluates the condition/operation of facilities to ensure that they are safe, functional, and meeting the applicable policies requirement. Also builds trust and rapport with users and assesses the performance of third-party service deliverers.
  • Able to perform assessment of existing and new safety and quality requirements issued by company or government and able to drive actions for implementation.
  • Possesses technical knowledge about structural details, building maintenance and able to lead the facilities teams on ground in excellent service delivery. Able to drive facilities upgrade to meet new requirements and possesses business acumen with innovative and strategic mindset.
  • Ensure all building facilities adhere to proper safety standards and cleaning procedures. Reviews Workplace Safety and Health (WSH) practices and implements sustainability guidelines.
  • Supervise facilities staff and communicate with external contractors and vendors. Review and track adherence with insurance contracts.
  • Review utilities consumption for building and facilities and strive to minimize costs and environmental impact from building and facilities.
  • Ensure that facilities defects are identified and rectified in a timely manner to comply with GMP policies.
  • Coordinates hazardous/ regulated waste disposal, pollution prevention, and waste minimization programs in full compliance with all local and Abbott regulatory requirements.

Major Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for building and equipment maintenance programs including plumbing, electrical, HVAC, facade, roof, floor, fire/ life safety systems, and data center infrastructure. Responsible for development of master facility plan with anticipation of short- and long-term business needs.
  • Responsible for the day-to-day operations to drive team in addressing work orders, routine maintenance on facilities and making repairs as needed.
  • Responsible for setup plan and processes to ensure upkeep of interior and exterior areas, such as offices, manufacturing facilities, parking lots, green land, and outdoor spaces.
  • Responsible for spares/ consumables inventory for meeting facilities maintenance requirement.
  • Support and work closely with site EHS and Quality initiatives and meeting timeline and KPI targets.
  • Ensuring that all levels of the Facility personnel are trained, equipped, and empowered to make appropriate and timely decisions and recommendations.
  • Responsible to work closely on people development, retention, recruitment, hiring and trainings.
  • Developing and adhering to facility budget/plan for operations, reviews, and tracks against plan regularly.
  • Responsible for maintaining drawings, manuals, and documentation control related facilities.           
  • Participate in ad-hoc projects and perform other duties as assigned.
  • Liaison Government authorities as required.
  • Any other duties as assigned by supervisor.

Skills/Experience Requirements:

  • Advanced mechanical and plumbing skills
  • Knowledge of HVAC and other building systems
  • Excellent time management and multitasking skills
  • Basic understanding of accounting and finance principles
  • Dynamic, driven and having experience in Project management
  • Good engineering problem solving skills, workload resource planning and prioritization skills.
  • Experience planning and maintaining facility budgets
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Contract handling experience
  • Strong attention to detail and Strong business and customer focus.
  • 3 to 6 years of related experience

Education:

  • Bachelor of Science Degree in Mechanical/ Electrical/ Chemical/ Civil/ Engineering / Environment or related discipline or Diploma with 3-6 years of working experience.
