Job Description

What is the opportunity?

As the Vice President, Structured Product Trader, you will be responsible for managing and supervising the pricing and risk management of the Japan Structured Products books. You will also offer a support and be a backup on the APAC ex-Japan book (Singapore, HK, Australia).

What will you do?

  • Maintain marked to market parameters to ensure minimal IPV results.
  • Manage the different market risks on the APAC markets with a high focus on the Vega positioning in Japanese stocks.
  • Comply with the Risk Limits framework and escalate to Head of APAC Trading and Global Head of Structured Products Trading for anticipation or remediation.
  • Identify opportunities for future business growth in conjunction with the Global Products Heads
  • Proactively lead projects and liaise with relevant function groups to improve global platform.
  • Proactively identify operational risks control deficiencies in the business Review and comply with applicable Firm Policies.

What do you need to succeed?

Must-have

  • Degree or equivalent is required
  • The role would typically require 8 years of relevant experience
  • In depth knowledge of derivatives pricing and risk management theory
  • Extensive experience in managing both exotic and plain vanilla options risk
  • Strong numerical, quantitative and analytical skills
  • Strong local market knowledge and expertise Knowledge of Mathematical Finance and equity derivatives products
  • Strong team player
  • Attention to details and exercise sound judgment

Nice-to-have

  • Excellent knowledge on coding
