Role Overview

We are hiring a hands-on Infrastructure Delivery Lead to manage a team of 10–15 engineers across our infrastructure domains:

  • Cloud & Compute
  • Network & Connectivity
  • Database & Middleware
  • Monitoring & Capacity

This role oversees both project implementations and ongoing operational support, driving availability, scalability, and compliance. You will work closely with cross-functional teams including Workplace Delivery, Security Delivery, and Service Delivery Managers to ensure infrastructure services are reliable, secure, and aligned with business needs.

You will also be responsible for leading upgrades of core infrastructure platforms (e.g., VMware, backup systems, monitoring tools), ensuring that all lifecycle changes are performed securely and with proper change control.

Key Responsibility

Project & Solution Delivery

  • Lead infrastructure solution design and delivery for new deployments and service onboarding.
  • Ensure readiness for cutover, DR, backup, patching, and operational monitoring.
  • Collaborate with architects and project managers on infrastructure planning and timelines.

Infrastructure Operations

  • Manage daily infrastructure operations and ensure SLA/KPI compliance across pillars.
  • Lead incident resolution, RCA analysis, and post-incident improvement actions.
  • Drive standardization, automation, and observability practices.

Team Leadership

  • Manage a team of 10–15 engineers across compute, cloud, network, database, and monitoring.
  • Provide coaching, task delegation, performance reviews, and development planning.
  • Foster a lean, collaborative, and proactive engineering culture.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

Partner with:

  • Workplace Delivery (endpoint readiness, support)
  • Security Delivery (patching, backup, policy enforcement)
  • Service Delivery Managers (SLAs, escalations, client transitions)
  • Reporting & Tooling Teams (dashboards, telemetry, automation)

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent.
  • Relevant certifications in infrastructure (e.g., Azure/AWS, VMware, Red Hat, IBM, Cisco).

Experience

  • 8+ years in infrastructure operations with 2–3 years in a lead or managerial role
  • Proven delivery of infrastructure projects (on-prem & cloud)
  • Hands-on experience in at least one core pillar (compute, network, DB, monitoring).

  • OS & Virtualization: Windows Server, RHEL, IBM AIX, VMware
  • Cloud: AWS, Azure
  • Database: MS SQL, IBM DB2
  • Middleware: IBM WebSphere
  • Tooling: ServiceNow, Veeam, Zerto, Prometheus, PowerShell, Ansible
