Overview The Home Team Science and Technology Agency (HTX) is a statutory board under the Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) that pioneers innovative solutions and develops world‑class science and technology capabilities to transform and empower the Home Team in delivering safety and security for Singapore. The Deputy Director of AI Product Management plays a pivotal role in managing the HTxAI products portfolio, collaborating with strategic stakeholders to define product features and specifications, leading a team of Product Managers, Business Analysts, Product Designers and Tech Managers, prioritising feature development and offering technical expertise across problem scoping and user requirements. Responsibilities Provide strategic technical leadership, assess plans, and oversee the development of cutting‑edge AI and digital products for HTX. Mentor and nurture team collaboration, innovate AI solutions that align with user needs, and foster partnerships with external entities. Develop a product‑development culture across COEs and HTDs. Promulgate a defined Product Management Framework based on industry best practices customised to Home Team requirements. Develop and oversee HTxAI’s product portfolio covering AI and digital technologies. Identify product opportunities and solution feature requirements from users’ problem statements, use‑case requirements and industry trends. Develop product and solution road‑maps considering user ConOps, industry trends and latest technology developments. Lead multiple product teams and provide day‑to‑day guidance in all aspects of Product Management and Tech Management. Establish an internal cross‑collaboration approach with teams such as AI R&D, Engineering, Solutioning, Platform, Data Engineering and Infrastructure to improve efficiency. Grow and develop a team of Product Managers, Business Analysts, Product Designers and Tech Managers and improve their respective skill sets. Qualifications Minimum degree in Information Systems, Information Technology, Computer Science, Computer Engineering or related disciplines. Minimum 10 years’ experience in the ICT domain with at least 6 years of practical experience in Product Management. Experience building products from conceptualisation to Minimum Viable Product (MVP) and operationalisation. Understanding of AI technologies. Knowledge of multi‑tier architectures for AI/ML, data‑science and data‑analytics platforms in one or more cloud service providers. Strong leadership and interpersonal skills to effectively communicate complex technical concepts to both technical and non‑technical stakeholders. Experience leading and collaborating with multi‑agency teams. Strong understanding of Home Team Departments’ business and technical requirements and knowledge of AI domains such as Adversarial AI, Vision AI, Embodied AI, Language AI, Multi‑modal AI and Emerging AI. Self‑motivated, able to think strategically and translate strategy into implementation. High level of integrity. Able to perform well under pressure as both a team player and an individual. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Contract & Hiring Process All new hires are appointed on a two‑year contract in the first instance and will be assessed and considered for permanent tenure over time, based on performance.
