About The Role IIX seeks an experienced AVP, Credit Portfolio Management to support the credit process for IIX’s lending products, including the Women’s Livelihood Bond loan portfolios. The role involves monitoring existing loan portfolios, identifying new lending opportunities, managing risk, and delivering credit analysis and underwriting to expand IIX’s lending activities. Key Responsibilities Corporate Credit & Financial Analysis : Assess financial statements, cash flows, debt servicing capacity, and risk factors for corporate borrowers; understand loan structuring, covenants, and repayment risk. Macroeconomic Insight : Evaluate economic and industry trends impacting borrower risk. Portfolio Monitoring & Risk Management : Monitor borrower performance and compliance with covenants. Identify risks and recommend mitigation strategies. Prepare quarterly and annual reports for investors and partners. Act as a first line of defense in risk mitigation for debt products. Credit Analysis & Underwriting : Identify potential borrowers such as microfinance institutions and high‑impact enterprises. Analyze prospects per IIX’s lending criteria. Support due diligence, financial modelling, deal structuring, and transaction closure. Collaborate with the Innovative Finance team on underwriting and risk management. Excel & Financial Modelling : Proficiency in Excel for financial analysis. Reporting & Communication : Prepare credit appraisal reports, portfolio updates, and ad‑hoc reports. Present findings clearly and persuasively, both in writing and verbally. Stakeholder Management : Work directly with the Innovative Finance team on credit and risk matters. Provide subject‑matter expertise and manage delivery of lending products to clients. Maintain strong interpersonal and client‑facing communication skills. Attention to Detail : Identify data inconsistencies and verification issues. Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) Analyze borrower financial and impact information. Monitor financial performance and identify trends. Draft investment proposals and provide risk assessment. Interpret economic, market, and sector fundamentals. Support desk due diligence, deal structuring, and transaction closure. Manage day‑to‑day operations for credit risk and transaction management. Support origination and screening of potential borrowers for Women’s Livelihood Bond portfolios. Preferred Qualifications Education: Bachelor’s degree required; MBA, Master’s degree, or CFA is a plus. Experience: Minimum 3 years in corporate credit assessment within a lending institution; SME lending experience preferred. Market Exposure: Experience in emerging markets (Asia / Africa) and time in developing countries is an advantage. Background in international development, impact enterprise, or MFIs. Knowledge of IIX sector specializations (renewable energy, sustainable agriculture, inclusive finance, technology access, rural health, education). Fluency in one or more regional languages.
