This role is pivotal in covering our group's activities in both Singapore and Malaysia, where we currently oversee a workforce of approximately 150 employees in different legal entities. With over 150 years of expertise in market expansion, procurement, sales, and marketing across diverse industries, we are determined to shift our HR approach from short-term reactive practices to a long-term, strategic framework using AI tools.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Policies: Independently review and upgrade existing HR policies and procedures that align with company goals while promoting effective collaboration across departments.

  • Full-Cycle Recruitment & Onboarding and Offboarding: Take complete ownership of the recruitment process— from candidate sourcing to seamless onboarding—to secure top talent for our dynamic organization to conducting exit interviews and working on re-employment and retirement. Optimize workforce under Singapore quota restrictions.

  • Performance Systems: Develop performance management systems by setting KPIs, work with Dept Managers and GM's to conduct regular performance reviews and implementing coaching frameworks to drive continuous improvement and measurable success. Set up 360 degree reviews for leadership and support teams.

  • Positive company culture: Create initiatives that enhance communication, tolerance and cooperation among various functions across our operations in Singapore and Malaysia.

  • Employee Development & Engagement: Develop individual employee development programs, skill upgrading and engagement initiatives to cultivate a positive, productive, and inclusive work environment.

  • Strategic HR Transformation: Utilize your expertise—including familiarity with Paul Kearns' HR maturity model—to lead our evolution from a reactive, admin-based HR approach to a proactive, strategic HR framework

  • Collaborative Strategic Partnership: Serve as the sole HR resource, working closely with senior leadership to align HR operations with business objectives across both regions.


And most importantly to be open to AI and to deploy AI tools to ease your own workload. Qualifications:
  • A minimum of 15 years of HR administration and development experience across at least two different organizations, demonstrating the ability to adapt.

  • IHRP Certification is mandatory.

  • Proven expertise in developing and implementing HR best practices, performance systems, and policies; demonstrate openness to AI tools; firm in labor contracts.

  • Deep understanding of labour laws in Singapore and Malaysia, ensuring compliance in all HR matters, and hands-on experience to apply within COMPASS.

  • High EQ, interpersonal, and leadership skills, with a proven ability to autonomously manage all aspects of the HR function.

  • Self-driven, proactive, and organized, capable of managing a comprehensive HR operation independently.
